Golden brass, bronze and silver tin, all fused together to give it an outstanding appearance. It has a ring or hook on the back side for hanging on the wall. It would look great in a ski lodge or over the mantel of a nice fireplace or any wall of someone who loves skiing, winter sports or outdoors. The details are great, as they are all dressed in their ski apparel complete with goggles and ski hat. It measures 41- 3/4 inches in length and 16 inches tall and protrudes several inches from the wall for a fabulous 3-D decor. VIntage C. Jere Enameled Copper Flower in Quartz Base A nice vintage. Modern sculpture by Curtis Jeré, the company founded in 1963 by Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels to bring"gallery-quality art for the masses. C. Jeré" became the pseudonym for their American, hand-made works. This sculpture of a flower is constructed out of enameled and patinated sheet copper. Copper wire, and quartz. The flower is enameled in three colors-blue, yellow and green- the leaves patinated a lovely green color, and the quartz base has red-orange iron inclusions in the top. The piece is 13.5" tall and 19.5" wide(the way the leaves are currently positioned; they could be moved if desired) The base is 6.5" by 2.75" by 3" tall. The stem isn't fixed into it. This pure aluminum steamer was manufactured in Los Angeles by the Curtis Steam Cooker Co. circa 1900-1904. The original instruction and information book is with it. My great grandfather purchased this steamer at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. I have a letter written by my aunt(her grandfather purchased the steamer) validating this information. The steamer was in her possession for many years. It is made of pure aluminum per the information booklet and consists of 16 pieces. It measures approximately 15 inches tall by 9-1/4 inches wide. With all the many inserts and ability to stack to create multiple cooking levels. All put together, it would be taller. One of the inserts is very heavy which adds to the overall shipping weight. This is a true antique. and the fact that all pieces have been preserved with the original instruction booklet ... morefor well over 100 years makes it truly unique piece of history.

While there is controversy about how Curtis romanticized American Indian culture, the intention of this digital collection is to present all of the published images in their entirety, with comprehensive identifying data including plate numbering, dimensions, and the original captions by Curtis. It is hoped that the viewer may get a sense of the content of the rare original volumes, in order to develop an informed understanding of Curtis and his project. The North American Indian(1907-1930) By Edward S. Curtis, was ... morepublished in a limited edition and sold by subscription. The lavishly illustrated volumes were printed on the finest paper and bound in expensive leather, making the price prohibitive for all but the most avid collectors and libraries. Subscriptions sold for about $3,000 in 1907; the price rose to about $4,200 by 1924. Although the plan was to sell 500 sets, it appears that Curtis secured only about 227 subscriptions over the course of the project. In 1935 the assets of the project were liquidated. And the remaining materials were sold to the Charles Lauriat Company, a rare book dealer in Boston. Lauriat acquired nineteen unsold sets of The North American Indian. Thousands of individual prints, sheets of unbound paper, and the handmade copper photogravure plates. They lay forgotten in the bookstore's basement until their rediscovery in the 1970s, which marked the revival of interest in Curtis' haunting images of American Indians. This is a beautiful goldtone by Asahel Curtis and is a picture of Mt. Rainier from Plummer Peak. It is No. 40093 in the Asahel Curtis Catalog of photo's taken by him. It is a 8 X 10 orotone that comes in an Edward Curtis original batwing frame. It is unsigned. But for sure an Asahel Curtis picture. The frame is 13 1/2" x 11 1/2" both picture and frame are in excellent condition with no tears or chips.

This auction is for a vintage. Mid-Century era, brass sailboat theme wall sculpture/ wall hanging. I believe it is probably a C. Jere(Cutis Jere) piece, but I could not find the C. Jere mark. It looks like someone may have scrubbed this piece many years ago, possibly washing off the Jere mark. It is 32" long and 15" high(at the highest point) In very good condition with no cracked. Broken, or missing parts, and no broken braze/ weld points. The brass has developed a nice patina over the years. Please message with any questions. hi this is another attr. to curtis jere similar to the owls listed here on ebay. this came from the same estate and has the same beak and eyes made out of brass as the owls. It looks more like a chicken to me than an owl so the buyer can decide what kind of bird it is. This bird sits flat on the surface. It is unknown if it had feet my opinion is it did not as it is so large it would be difficult for it to stand. the size is.9 inches tall,9 inches wide and almost 11 inches beak to tail. I have not found one of these on ebay or anywhere else. It is quite heavy so shipping is 15.00 bucks. I will take a few bucks off if you buy both. see my other listing for the smaller one. Old stock that I have owned for many years. They have not been used or removed from a second hand synth. I was told they are factory spares or chips removed from boards at the end of the production run. I have a quantity from around 1986 so that would/could make sense. Curtis Emerson LeMay[1906- 1990] was a general in the United States Air Force who is credited with designing and implementing an effective but also controversial strategic bombing campaign during World War II. 1972 Curtis Jere Chrome Sculptural Skyscraper Lamp. In very good vintage condition. Chrome with wood base. Measures 36" in total height. 9" width by 9" depth wooden base. Oval cartouche plaque with signature and date. Some typical surface wear due to age. Some oxidation can be found on the interior. I did not polish this lamp, and will leave that to the discretion of the buyer. Please see the photos to examine condition. This piece of art is 100% functioning. The electrical cable.
