Here is a rare Sturmabteilungen(SA) Ortsgruppe Level NSDAP banner carrier used to carry the NSDAP party flag by a standard bearer at parades and rallies. Because the carrier wasn’t flashy or have a swastika on it, very few of this rare item were brought back as souvenirs by GIs, so consequently they are quite scarce on the market today. This flag bandolier was mailed back from the front by an American officer in WWII as captured war booty and it is sold as such. This flag carrier is made of fine brown leather with brown velvet fronting and rich gilt edging. With Orts level blue piping and an adjustable buckle. The carrier is impression stamped on the back, RZM L2/388/40, for leather goods made in 1940, see photo. Additionally, ... morethe back of the belt strap has an ink stamp RZM L 1/27, see photo. I have included a composite image that shows how the flag carrier was worn, one a image from a book and the other a photo of anther flag carrier in private collection. I am pleased to offer this old and original. Republic of China, 5 coloured flag or banner. The flag dates from 1912 to 1928. It has all sewn panels. It measures approximately 48" wide by 72" long. The red panel must be stretched tight to obtain the 72" while the black measures the 72" when relaxed. The condition is about very good, with light soiling, wear and tiny rust spot or two. The yellow panel has some fading more than the other colors. The yellow panel also has been made of 2 pieces sewn together as has the white hoist border. Note that the blue panel has a few areas where the blue material was not rolled over before it was sewn.There are a few small pulls or tiny holes, but still above average for a flag of this age. Stunning Old Primitive Vintage 15 Foot Long 46 Star Flag Banner Material Piece I have to tell you about the auction that I went to this week. It was in Geneva Illinois. In a sandstone building that was built before the Civil War. The sale was the final liquidation of an antique store(they‘d had one previous auction- so much stuff, they had to have two) that used to operate out of this location- but the building has been closed, as well as the business, for over 20 years following the passing of the previous owners. Now, we’re talking two stories, an attic and a basement PACKED with antiques- it’s hard to imagine, and all of it just sitting for two decades. These folks has amassed a huge antique collection- many many items dating back to the early 1800s and before. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be listing my treasures from the sale. ... moreI will be listing them for weeks to come. I also have the last of my farm auctions and South Dakota finds listed this week, so there’s something for everyone! I sure wish this one could talk! It came out of the auction. So I have no idea how or when it was used- was it a banner? A remnant from a flag company that wasn't cut? I'm calling it vintage in my title, but it has 46 stars on it- and the 46 star flag flew from 1908 until 1913. I can clearly see that it is old, but I have no idea if it is that old, as I've never seen another like it. As you can see from my photos, it really is one long piece of material that has 4 flags on it. It measures 185 1/2" long(that's over 15 feet) in total, each flag being about 46" they are not sewn separately- this is one long piece) and it is 31 1/2" wide. The short ends are unfinished so show minor loose threads and frayng. The long side appear to have weave as such that they do not fray- or threads do not come loose- not a hem, just part of the material as made. I do not know the make up, but it feels like a cotton to me- almost what I'd describe as a light canvas(like a light version of the type of material

This is a felt and screened w/ a raised acrylic screen art banner or pendant from Poland. One side reads"POLSKA" and shows the polish coat of arms. The other side reads"MALBORK" and has a shield with a depiction of the castle front entrance. The shield shaped banner is 5 3/8" wide x 7 1/2" tall. 1/8" thick and edged with red cord that also is the hanger. There is a faded tag folded and glued to the hanging cord. There is a faded red and white tassle on the bottom. Sealed in plastic. Never opened with the sales tag folded and glued to the hanging cord. Excellent condition except for the cord.
