This is an auction for an Original WWI US Navy French Made Victory for the Allies Embroidered Framed Service Banner Flag. It measures approximately 24 inches by 26 inches. This service banner flag appears to be made of silk. It was all beautifully hand embroidered and hand stitched. I am guessing that a sailor that was stationed in France. Probably had this made after WWI. This rare banner features all of the flags of the allies during WWI, including: The United States, Great Britain, France, Japan, Russia, China, and there are two flags that I cannot identify. There is also a very nice eagle sitting on top of an anchor. The picture of the sailor in the center appears that it was added at a later date, but it appears to be an original photo of a WWI sailor. Here we have a Coca Cola vinyl banner measuring pretty darn close. If not exactly 39 1/2" x 29 5/8" as noted on the banner. This appears to be a banner created for a wholesale/distributor event. The model described- GDM-30-20 would date to the early-mid 60's. Post 1962. This model was created by True Manufacturing Company. St. Louis, Missouri, post 1962(zip code 63132, but phone number was HA 7 2202, which would indicate pre-1965) Since this is not a standard commercial item available or viewable to a standard purchaser but rather a wholesaler or retailer- this is a rare item. Old Odd Fellows Banner Silk Eye of God, Scythe, Skull & Crossbones, Three Rings
This auction is for a very old Odd Fellows Banner made out of what I believe is silk. It has handpainted images of the Eye of God. A Scythe, a Skull& Crossbones and the three interlocking Rings. The art work is quite good. The banner is frayed, stained and worn but is till an impressive piece. Not counting the fringe the banner is roughly 20 inches wide by 28 inches long. Circa 1950's, Banner Tea Set with tin plates and a hard plastic display cabinet, teapot, cups and silverware. The set is unused old store stock and comes in the original box. The box measures approx. 13 1/2" by 19 1/2" and is in very good overall condition showing some general wear from age. The hard plastic display cabinet measures approx. 12 1/2" by 23" with a cardboard header that attaches to the top. It contains a hard plastic teapot with lid, creamer, sugar, 4 tea cups, 12 pieces of silverware, 4 large tin plates and 4 small tin plates.
