This is a DMC wooden three drawer display for Embroidery floss. It's measurements are 12 5/8" wide by 9 5/8" tall by 14 5/8" deep. It has plastic trays inside to hold and separate the embroidery floss. Each drawer contains 12 compartments. These could also be used for regular thread spools. The plastic trays are in good condition. The front of each drawer has paper with the DMC floss color numbers. The top drawer has a lengthwise crack along the face which is noticeable otherwise the cabinet is in good condition. See pictures) The embossed logo on both sides of the display are in near perfect condition and the logo on the top has a few scratches. It stands about 37" tall and is a nearly life-sized image of a wonderful, rosy cheeked Santa, smoking a pipe seated in a fancy old chair. This is the warm and fuzzy image of the big guy. He looks like he is awaiting your Christmas list. This piece is signed on the bottom right corner" Charles E. Barnes(or Harnes, or something else- not quite sure) and has"S& D 279 Litho in U.S.A. On the back in pencil is written"1930" which seems about the right age of this image. There is paper loss around the edge of the piece as well as at the fold line. There are creases. antique clockwork rotating hardware store display with key works automaton ?
very unusual. I got this this morning here in Wyoming. I was told by the lady that had it that it came from there familys hardware store and that it was a display piece they used in the window and that it was about 100 years old. it is clockwork and has 2 very large springs- 1 1/4 inches wide as you can see. I turned it a couple times and it ran for over 4 hours- I did not want to overwind it- it could use a cleaning as you can see but clock repair people just dip them( the movements) so since it works is not much to just do a cleaning. the main part is is that it is running. not sure if its an 8 day movement as the springs are so big. it is very very heavy. key is brass and iron. wood box is dovetailed. I saw something similar listed on ebay and they had 599.00 buy it now. Mine is bigger. very primitive and unusual. many places here did ... morenot have electricity for ages. some places still do not have electricity here. great decorator piece and a great piece of the old west and very unusual. don't miss out. I know I have never had anything like it before nor have I seen anything quite like it before. if you have any other info on it let me know. im thinking it may be a base for an automaton or it is what she said it is a rotating display piece they used in the store. either way it is rare and desirable and rarely comes along. it is very very heavy. She has a few paint chips and a break on her lower left leg. This does not affect the stability of the figurine and could easly be repaired. It has a wood base with a glass topper. These were used in tobacco shops to drop the customers change into. The glass tray is slanted from back to front so the change would slide away from the clerk and towards the customer. The replica Raleigh Cigarette pack( a period replica pack- no tobacco or cigarettes are in the pack) is stabilized under the glass tray. The piece was made by the Brunhoff Manufacturing Co. Cincinnati, Ohio. Edward Brunhoff patented the glass change tray concept in 1905. I believe that this tray dates from the 1920s or 1930s. The tray has four brass plates on the top that hold the glass tray down on the wooden base. The brass has some vintage patina but ... moreyou can still read the"Raleigh Cigarettes" on the front plate. There are some minor nicks and indentions to the wood, but I feel that these add to the item's character. There are a few minor"flea bites" to the glass topper but there are no chips or cracks. The tray measures approximately 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" square while the glass topper is about 1 1/2" high. Here is a"farm fresh" Motorola Service"sign" It has 28 tubes. 24 of them are the original Motorola tops. Found in a gar age. Belonged to a guy who service d Motorola ham radio/emergency equipment. There is some rust and you can see how the logo is worn in some places. But it still looks really great. It adds character. This would look great hanging just about anywhere. I filled four of the tubes with random parts from my"board pull box" to show how easy it is and how cool it would look if all of the tubes were filled with"junk/scrap" parts. or anything really. This is a vintage ring necked pheasant taxidermied into breeding display stance. It is in good condition. However it does have one loose wing( left while facing you) and a few feathers that are bent, they are not bad but they are still bent and I want you to be aware of this. One of the eyes does has some scratches, that could be buffed? it is on the side that would be against the wall/away from front. The feathers are still iridescent and in good shape except for a few that have been noted. This mount has been made to set up against a wall and the tail feathers are bent to one side in an arch display so that it can be set closer to the wall. This is one(of two) wall mounted announcement displays. This is the smaller of the two. They were originally used in the now defunct Superior Plating(near downtown Minneapolis) for displaying employee safety and motivational posters. We purchased them as a pair at City Salvage-Architectural Salvage and Antiques. In NE Minneapolis, for 400 dollars. The cabinets feature a light-up upper portion. With a long fluorescent bulb. The front of the light box is white plexi. Overall. The construction is made of aluminum. The front doors are also aluminum with clear plexi fronts ... moreand with locks for each door. Retro Alum Machine Age DECO Department Store Shoe/Perfume Display SHELF-3 Pod
Available is an original 1920s-30s Art Deco store fixture. This is a machine age deco aluminum curved 1/2 inch tube with 3 1/8th inch circular shelves measuring 7 inches across each. These shelves are adjustable to any height and will swivel to different angles. Each shelf has a hand screw bracket to move and tighten to a desired height. The curved metal shelving is screwed into the wood base measuring 11 1/2 inches across x 1 inch thick. The circular shelving does have some staining and pitting from age as shown in photos. The wood base has small bumping and some dents. The metal unit is removable when you unscrew the base. This still looks great for display purposes. I bought this used DMM many years ago at a Dayton Hamfest. It was originally configured for 50Hz operation. I replaced the original 2.5MHz crystal with a 3MHz crystal so it would operate properly with the standard 60Hz AC. This is a 5.5 digit DMM with nicely contoured LED numeric readouts. I have calibrated the HP34702A 4 years ago against my HP34401A 6.5 digit DMM using several reference sources(see photos) And it remains reasonably accurate without annual recalibration. The HP34401. Analogic AN3100, precision resistors, and connecting wires are not part of this auction. A CD-ROM(and a printed copy) manual and a power cord are included with the HP34702A in this auction.

Antique Mission-style Countertop Display Case!
Antique Mission-style Countertop Display Case. Likely from early 1900s for collectibles of all kinds. It's an especially nice case for dealers to sell merchandise in. Solidly and nicely built. Made from quarter sawn oak and pine with a pine slat bottom. It has a deep sepia/red ochre stain with a very nice old patina! Glass panels on all sides- front, sides and top- with two sliding wooden(double) doors on its backside. The sliding doors have two round holes for fingers to easily slide the doors apart or together. The glass on the top left side appears to be original with some scratches from years of use; the glass on the top right side appears to have been replaced b/c it is crystal clear. The top and front each consists of two glass panels joined by an oak/pine wood strip. There is a tiny 2" crack in the corner front left glass ... morepanel. The case does not have a lock, but a lock on the doors at each end could easily be added. The case is photographed sitting on a low rectangular vintage table in my yard; it actually looks pretty cool sitting on the antique iron table, but the table needs to stay here with me in the yard to sit my beer on. The corners on the case are unusual in that they are crossed instead of flush. The case measures 41" long by 26" wide by 14.5" tall. The display area on the inside measures 37.5" long by 22" wide by 12.5" tall. Asking $750. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Case is located near Chapel Hill, NC. Though built well, these old display cases are fragile. While I will ship it via UPS I will not be responsible if it arrives broken up- and I would personally hate for that to happen, especially to such a nice old case like this one. The Sealpackerchief Company was founded in 1908 and offered clothiers and haberdasheries the use of the display case as long as it was used solely to display and sell their sealed packages of handkerchiefs. The front cream. Red and gold decal shows the New York(N.Y. Trademark and shows, Patented July 27, 1909, March 10 1914 and Dec 17, 1918. The inside red and gold decal reads, This case is loaned with the understanding that it be used only for the display of Sealpackerchief" as well as"The International Handkerchief Manufacturing Company of New York" as well as, Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. The two sides. Door ... moreand bottom are solid 5/8" oak, the top and front are glass have no sharp edges. The back is also made of solid oak held in place by three small brass hinges that have heavy patina on them. The bottom of the back door has a half ball shape of brass that sits in a brass holder in the bottom to keep the back door secure if the door would be closed all the way. The top of the sides each have a hole approximately 1-1/2" from the back where the display had a dowle rod display to hold their sample handkerchiefs. This piece is hardly ever found intact with these cases anymore since they are so fragile. If you care to reproduce one.
