1930s Western Electric Telephone Booth
This is a nearly completed restoration. I will have it completed in a weekend. I have not put a phone in it as it's not included in the price. This appears to be a solid Cherry finished on all 4 sides. I stripped and refinished with Cellulose laquer. I still need to install the original lighting and fan. I have rewired the booth competely. The floors are the original tounge and groove. The tins have been stripped and repainted in the original hunter green color it had. This is an Early 1930s model with the original glass on all sides except for one pane which was chipped. I will post more pics as it nears completion. Bottom line is that it's a gem with a 100 hours or so of labor in it. Local pickup only unless you want to handle a shipper coming in to pickup. You are bidding on a 1959 Booth Card from C&P Telephone. The card measures 7 x 10 1/2" I assume this card was inserted into a holder somewhere in the telephone booth. Very scarce and cool artwork. Fabulous Old Orig Art Deco Advertising Ticket Booth Theater Retro Zephyr Light
Measuring approx. 28 3/4" X 4 1/4" wide is this old original Art Deco unusual double hood light lamp. Consisting of metal is this retro Zephyr appearance light. My best guess is perhaps a theater ticket booth, would make an awesome overhead lamp for any train themed room or display( has a strong train influence in appearance) Each light is mounted to an aluminum? base unit, the top of each hood appears to have a receiver opening for perhaps a advertising card or even an intaglio lens for display( the adv or lens are missing) Light appears to be fully functional and does light up just fine( rewiring would be advisable for it is the original old wire) back of lamp does have a twist on off switch. Offered today is a vintage Bell System telephone booth light up sign. This sign is in pretty good condition considering it's age. Made out of thick reverse painted plastic. Both cracks cannot be felt if you run your fingernail over them. I doubt they will spread. They look like they formed by being hit by something. But show no signs of spreading. The plastic on this sign is about 1/8" thick and very solid. The smaller crack at the bottom of the sign measures 4" and the split crack on the opposite side is about 5" long in one direction and 1" long in the other. The sign measures 24" in diameter and 6" thick. I have not ... moretried to hook any electricity to this sign so I do not know if it lights up. I'll leave that to the new owner and his/her electrician. The first photo is of the one side removed and a light bulb mounted behind it just to give an idea of what it would look like when back lit. The two shadows going through it would not appear normally as those are from the light bulbs. The last pic shows the info on the light bulbs. The entire light bulb"unit" or fixture is not solidly attached to anything inside. It appears to be made so the entire unit can be pulled out from the side and seems like it may have attached to the bracket that the light would have been mounted on. which I do not have) Very cool piece of Bell System advertising but unfortunately a little incomplete. Here is a reverse painted original 1/4" thick glass TELEPHONE sign. Size is 25 1/2" x 5 1/2" The colors are a blue and green mix. The front glass surface is smooth with no major scratch issues. The edges are very good with 2 very small glass slivers so faint they are hard to see and hardly worth noting(but I'm a stickler for details! Back side shows thin layer of adhesive/dirt that could be removed. But it isn't noticeable on front side. A nice display piece for your home or office. Please enlarge photos for best views. They were designed to attract the customers to the booth. This recreation of the original sign has the attention getting feature of sequentially lighting the pretty girls in the sign 1-2-3-4 then it re-starts. Rare vintage 1950's-60's"Hotel Norton-Palmer ~ A Norton Hotel" protective telephone book cover from a phone booth. I am guessing this came from a phone booth from the lobby of this historic Windsor. Ontario hotel. There is no chain on the cover. I have the 1973 Windsor phone book that was originally in this cover also listed. Please note: lot came from a smoker's estate if you have allergies. Nice condition with some minor wear.front cover has small dark stains. Designed by architects Hutton& Souter of Hamilton, who also designed Windsor Assembly, along with the old GM Office Building at Walker and Seminole. Across the river in Detroit was the sister hotel, the Hotel Norton. The majestic Hotel Norton Palmer of Windsor, Canada was demolished in 1975. Charles Norton would expand his small hotel empire. Partnering with Perry C. Palmer to open a location across the river in Windsor, Ontario, on Dec. 17, 1927. The Hotel Norton-Palmer was a 12-story hotel at the northwest corner of Park and Pelissier, and was Windsor’s tallest building when it opened. It started off with 200 rooms, but about three years later, another 50-100 rooms were added(reports differ on the exact number) Just shy of 11 years after the Windsor hotel opened, Charles Norton died, on Oct. 12, 1938, at age 74. 16 Foot Business Tradeshow Booth Rotating Sign Stand Column Trust
This is a 14/16 foot(height is adjustable) tall sign that was part of a trade show setup. There are multiple parts that make this up. The base is the brown section at the bottom. It measures approximately 20" X 20" X 24" The white and grey part right on top of the base is approximately 51" tall and 18" X 18" The first trust measures 91" tall. There is also a smaller. Extra trust that is 22" tall(not photographed) Last. There is the top piece which is the sign! Nimlok aluminum and graphic 20x10 tradeshow booth / trade show
10x20 Nimlok extruded aluminum large graphic booth just as it last left the show floor in 4 large rotomolded rectangular stacking cases and one large roll case for graphics. Purchased for $11.000 in 2006, and has been used sparingly. At the time of disassembly and packing for shipment back to our office several years ago it was complete and in good working order, however it is sold as is since we won't unpack and reassemble it prior to shipping. Graphics are included but will need to be updated or replaced for your own use. Does not include flooring or any computer components or free standing tables seen in the photo foreground.
