Mounted to a green plastic base with insert for holding note paper or a prescription pad. It is marked Indocin(Indomethacin) along with"Merck Sharp& Dohme, and was given out to medical and doctor's offices to advertise and promote the medication. The solid molded foot top lifts off to reveal a layer of muscles and tendons over another layer of bone- all sections fit neatly into the foot. Condition is good with a bit of old glue residue around the bones of the foot from how it was originally constructed- the tendon/muscle panel has no damage- the top of the base underneath the foot has been cracked down the middle from the weight of the foot and the back plastic pin is no longer attached to the heel- foot still sits securely on the base- exterior foot has a tiny bit of scuffing- does not detract. I've always used this in a Halloween display by just covering up the base- it is realistic and creepy and perfect for scaring the kiddies. This auction is for a vintage medical/anatomical display piece of a human hand. The model was an advertising piece given out for the drug Indocin in the 1960's or 1970's. It measures approximately 8.5" long and 5.5" wide. The model says"Indocin(Indomethacin) on the top along with"Merck Sharp& Dohme" The hand opens up to display muscles. Tendons, and bones. It is in decent condition overall, but has some minor wear and discoloration. It could use a cleaning, but I will leave that up to the winning bidder. It also has a small piece of plastic broken on the base where the support holds up the hand as seen in the last photo This item came from a retired Doctor's office. Vintage Halloween Human Foot Anatomical Medical Model Merck Indocin, VINTAGE HUMAN FOOT MODEL Interesting and unusual vintage 1960s or 1970s hard plastic medical/anatomical display foot measuring about 8-1/4" long and 7" tall. Mounted to a green plastic base with insert for holding note paper or a prescription pad. It is marked Indocin(Indomethacin) along with"Merck Sharp& Dohme, and was given out to medical and doctor's offices to advertise and promote the medication. The solid molded foot top lifts off to reveal a layer of muscles and tendons over another layer of bone- all sections fit neatly into the foot. Condition is good with a bit of old glue residue around the bones of the foot from how it was originally constructed- the tendon/muscle panel has no damage- the top of the base underneath the foot has been cracked ... moredown the middle from the weight of the foot and the back plastic pin is no longer attached to the heel- foot still sits securely on the base- exterior foot has a tiny bit of scuffing- does not detract. I've always used this in a Halloween display by just covering up the base- it is realistic and creepy and perfect for scaring the kiddies. Vintage Medical Model of a Right Human Foot, Detailed Structure, Unusual!!
On offer is this truly unusual item. It looks to be in really good condition overall. No signs of wear or damage. It is a model of a human foot which shows the bone structure. This is made from some sort of resin and looks very life like. The detailing is superb on each part. It is a right foot and as shown in the photos there are small springs among the sections so various bits can move- shows the natural movement of a real foot I would think. It comes presented on a plastic stand and would make the most striking display piece. Given the detail I would think this was used as a medical aid for teaching or for explaining terms to patients. I had to glue the backbone together on one side and the tips of the tail bone but they look OK now, there is a small piece of bone missing alongside the back bone as seen outlined in one of the pictures. Merck Sharp& Dohme Advertisement Piece for Benemid and Indocin. Indocin was discovered in the 1960's. So this is likely from that era. Both medicines were used to treat gout, so this likely held pamphlets about that. The rear of the base of the foot is detached from the dark green pamphlet tray. But the front is still attached. Has a small scuff mark on the top.

If you're in your 40s or so. You probably remember seeing a model like this in school. This one is marked Cenco and it is the digestive track. It is 3D and measures 30 x 11 x 4.5 inches.
