Grumman Lunar Module Kapton Foil Multi Layered Sheets
A swatch of Kapton foil from Grumman- approx. 9 X 3 inches. About 15- 20 layers(probably more, but it's hard to count) Stapled on one end. Very fragile with various folds, creases and cuts- see pics. From my father, Terry Custer's, collection from when he worked at Grumman on Long Island, Bethpage and Calverton, from the 1960s ending in the 1990s. He always said it was from the lunar module, but sad to say we have no documentation. Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Includes everything shown in the picture: The Printrbot itself including all power and computer cables. 6"x6"x6" printing area. Some black ABS filament. Digital Calipers. Some Kapton Tape. This is a flawless. Beautiful Lucite display containing an authentic piece of the gold Kapton foil that covered the command module of Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing mission. This piece measures about 2 1/2" in diameter and 1" high. Embedded in the display is the Kapton piece which is unusually large measuring about 1" x 1" This gold Kapton covered the outside of the Apollo 11 command module and ther efore flew from the earth to the moon and back. Being exposed to the hostile outer space environment the entire way! The photo makes it appear that there is a black spot above the words"Apollo X I Mylar" That's just a reflection from my scanner. The Lucite is crystal clear throughout. This is a superb piece of US space and lunar landing history. Why are the fragments embedded in the Lucite display instead ... moreof being removable? If the fragments can be removed. You'll never be sure if you are getting the real fragments you paid for or if they've been removed and replaced with something that's not authentic.
