Many thanks. Liam. An Antique Original Great War Era Trench Wristwatch. Marked Croissant to the Enamel Dial and inside the Steel Case, and with quite unusual Strap Lugs. This Watch is being sold as shown and described as it doesn't Wind or Run. The Winder can be removed from its Seat as shown. It will move the Hands occasionally. The Movement is clean and looks to be all present ... morewith no evidence of water or corrosion issues. The Case is showing some wear with signs of use and age. But it is intact with no major damage. The Watch has no structural issues although the Back is very hard to close fully so I left it as shown. It was like this when it came to me, I can see no obvious reason or obstruction, I think it is just a very tight fit. The Strap Lugs are all good and firmly attached. The Glass Bezel has some surface wear and a crack but is firmly in place. The Enamel Face is clean and in very good order as shown clearly. The Hands are all present and in good order. The Strap is worn but intact. A great piece of History and a good collectible period Watch. The approximate Measurements are: 3.60 cms across the case. Not including the Strap Lugs or Crown. U.S. M 1 STEEL HELMET WITH CHIN STRAP LINER O.D. GREEN POST WAR 1950's ? USED
Up for bid I have this post WORLD WAR II U.S. M-1 U.S. ARMY steel helmet with chin strap and liner. This helmet appears to be a post war U.S. M-1 with light O.D. color. Swivel bails, rear edge roll seam and is marked"6625" on the onside of the helmet. The outside of the helmet has a rough texture and 1 1/2 inch dent(that always looked like it took a glancing hit! This helmet also has a few other chips to the paint(especially around the edge) some scratches and maybe some crayon? The liner is dark O.D. green and is marked"U.S. 25" in the crown of the liner. This liner is missing its suspension system and the out side has paint chips, scratches and a big bear spot on the back of the top(see pic 11) From what I read on the interwebs this is most likely a post war helmet but I am no expert. What I do know is this helmet served ... moreme well on many a backyard combat mission and even a few recent Halloweens. old& heavy military helmet that was purchased at a thrift shop in the 1950s- that I know for sure helmet is unmarked and it could be from WWI or WWII. But then again, maybe not the leather liner and partial chin strap are still pliable the helmet has a textured finish there's one rivet on each side and one on the top for the liner. I guess approximate helmet dimensions: 11 1/4" wide 12 1/4" long height is about 5" or so the liner could be a size 7 1/4 because it fits me. And that's about the size hat I wear Due to the weight and size of the helmet. And to facilitate safe transport, I think a USPS priority mail large flat rate box is the best shipping option.
