Large single stem of cast iron holding copper tip. Medium: weighs 8.9 ounces. It is 12 ½” in length. No impression in copper. Large single stem of cast iron holding copper tip. Small: weighs 2.7 ounces. It is 8 ½” in length. It has a forked 2 prong iron holder of the copper tip. It has cylindrical copper held in pace with a twisted iron piece in a slot…refer to photos. There is some silver solder on the tip of the piece. Condition: These pieces have been well used. There are no chips. Nicks or cracks in the metal holding the copper. 18 used Weller Soldering Tips for model TCP & TC201 Irons ?, PTA & PLA
18 each used Weller? soldering tips. Several of the tips are in good enough condition to see that they say Weller on them. And I can find the letters PTA and PLA. Most do not have any readable letters. There are 8 each of the PTA style. The base is.210" diameter or 5.5 mm and are 1.4" long or 37mm, 7 of them have a spire point and one has a flat point. There are 10 of the PLA style and are.210" dia at the base or 5.5mm and 1.8" long or 46mm. 6 are pointed and 4 have flat tips. There is still solder residue on the tips of many of these. They are used. I was told these would fit Weller TCP or TC201 irons but do not know for sure if that is correct. If you have any questions please contact me and I will try to answer them.

One measures 11" long overall and has a 2 7/8" long tip. The second one is 10 1/4" long overall and has a 2 1/2" long tip. Before there was electricity other means was used to heat soldering irons. Markings that I can see on these nice old tools and a few notes: Handle painted with black epoxy is"Merit Quality Tools" Light colored natural finish handle has UL stamp and the fat part of the iron is stamped"Drake Electric No. 325 100W" Tip is loose. Darker wood finish handle is unmarked. Sounds like the element is moving inside of it. Everything is used with normal scuffing and abrasions. Overall good condition for age.
