It is missing one of its feet from the back of the unit and all 4 from the bottom. It also has some scrapes. Scuffs, and sticker residue.but for the most part it is in great shape. No damages that will affect how this unit operates. We tested this unit for RF output at a few different frequencies and amplitude settings. We did not run through testing the full spectrum. 8568B Spectrum Analyzer HP 8662A Synthesized Signal Generator with OPT 003 Here is a very nice HP 8662A Synthesized Signal Generator. This unit has Opt 003- Specified SSB phase noise for 640MHz rear panel output. This unit has been cleaned and serviced. The Power supply has been upgraded with new capacitors as these often fail. This unit works perfectly. the output attenuator works perfectly(see pics below) The output flatness is outstanding- measured with a power meter to well within +/ 0.2dB over the full frequency range. The fan runs smoothly with no strange noises or signs of age. All of the front panel controls operate perfectly- non are sticky or loose. There are no gaps in the frequency coverage(see pic) as often happens when these fail. The frequency reference has been calibrated to a GPS locked Rubidium standard. And of course the ... morephase noise and spectral purity is outstanding. I have been repairing and servicing RF test equipment for many years and invest many hours in each piece of equipment I offer. I know these generators inside out and can promise you that this one is working perfectly. This is a later production unit- far more likely to give you trouble free service for years to come. For auction is my HP 8175A that I bought a while back. I put power to it and it worked perfectly with a nice clear screen with writing on it. After about 3 or 4 minutes it lost power. I checked and found the fuse is blown. I'm not sure what might have caused it because I have no manual. At this point I'm offering it as a parts unit or a unit to be repaired. It has 5 pods on it and the unit itself has a very nice cabinet.
