WAVETEK 186 5 MHZ PHASE LOCK FUNCTION GENERATOR This is a very special signal generator from Wavetek. If you need to generate 2 signals(any waveform) that can be varied inphase, this baby is just what the doctor ordered. The left dial sets the frequency. The right dial sets the phase angle between the signal applied to the PHASE REF/TRIG IN input& the generator main 50 Ohm Output. It has a simple 1 kHz fixed output that can be used as the reference. Just use a short BNC cable to connect 1 kHz OUT to PHASE REF IN. To use the 1 kHz signal. Use a BNC Y adapter. To use a frequency other than 1 kHz, you'll need an external generator connected to PHASE REF IN. Then set the 186 to the same frequency. The GEN MODE switch is set to PHASE LOCK.
