It does not have a"box" like you think of when you hear the word microwave. It has a platen external of the main box that sandwiched two plates above and below the item being heated. Electrically upgraded antique RenuLife Model R High Frequency Generator. The Model R was the flagship in the line-up of RenuLife's violet ray machines. It was mostly used by doctors and was not intended to be used by the general public. This is a powerful violet ray machine! Most of the Chinese commercial violet ray devices one can purchase online are rated around 12W. The power rating of the Model R is 50W. But with today's 120V standard the machine probably consumes closer to 55W of power. It has a setting for internal and external use and also a switch to toggle back and forth from the ozone generator to the violet ray. The exterior and interior of the box, including the velvet, are in great shape given the age! The machine comes with 7 antique glass electrodes that all work and one metal electrode. In the above photo, starting ... moreat the top and then going from left to right: Rectal Electrode(horizontal) Metal Electrode, Condenser Electrode, Comb(or Rake) Electrode, Neck Electrode, Medium Surface Electrode, Fulguration Electrode and lastly, the Eye Electrode. This violet ray generator has been completely refurbished and tested. I rewired this device with new rubber insulated wire and cables. The old tinfoil and wax paper capacitor has been replaced with a new high voltage film capacitor and the ozone generator has been rebuilt. In addition I installed an EMI filter to help protect nearby. Sensitive electronic equipment from getting damaged by high frequency electricity bleeding back into the house electrical. The power cord plugs directly into the EMI filter that is installed into the side of the violet ray case. Since the original Ozone mask is missing, I am providing a thick walled vinyl tubing that will fit into the port for Ozone. If you decide you want to try breathing ozone, you would still need to find a mask that is somehow compatible with the tubing. Perhaps a medical supply company would have something that would work.
