Fin Nor No.3 right hand wind anti reverse fly reel
This is a rare No 3 anti-reverse Fin Nor fly reel with a right hand return. It is in excellent working conditon and it is in decent show condition. Look at the photos. I always use a flash to reveal the tiniest signs of wear. This my best one and I would like to keep it. But my other 3 works just fine. If you are going to own one saltwater fly reel. This is the one. It holds 300 yards of backing and spool size is about the same as the No. 4 but the reel is lighter than a No 4. Fin Nor#2 Anti-reverse saltwater fly reel with extra spool. Left hand retrieve. Fin Nor stopped producing fly reels in the 1990s making all of their fly reels highly desirable. This 3½-inch diameter reel has been gently used on a few Atlantic salmon. Otherwise it has spent most of its life in a tackle bag. The black finish shows some scuff marks but these are of a cosmetic nature only. The reel sounds and functions perfectly with its fine, smooth vault-like click. The reel was machined from bar stock aluminum and was made to accommodate a#7-9 wt fly line with up to 250 yards backing. The Fin Nor#2 remains a popular reel for bonefish, Atlantic salmon or steelhead. The 1" wide spare spool comes with its original neoprene sack.

This is a great Regal 20 reel. Last serviced by Fin Nor's retired service manager, master craftsman, David Connor. This reel is in excellent, A-1 condition. The pre-set drag option operates perfectly, as does the reel's consistent, run stopping, lever drag system. I believe David spooled it with Ande, IGFA, 20lb. test line, and this one is absolutely, ready to go. The reel has some minor surface scrapes and nicks, as visible in the photos. This is a fin-nor gar wood number 3 spinning reel. If you are bidding then you know more about these than I do. I've had it for 7-8 years but have never used it. Bought it with a bunch of reel and rods that included some old fin nor reels and rods. It has been in a drawer in my house. I have no idea how old it is but seems to be in great shape. I tried to take pictures to show what shape it is in. I do know it functions good. Drag works. Reels smooth, the red lever clicks in 1 setting and has anti-reverse and in the other it has no click and can reel backwards. There is a little corrosion inside the bell as seen in pics.
