Sage Z-Axis 490-2pc 9' 4 weight fly fishing rod no tip top
Great Sage Z-Axis 490(9 foot fly rod for 4 wt. line) 2 piece that has the very tip broken off. The rod was given to me a few years ago. I believe it was a demo rod from a shop in Montana, therefore it has no warranty. i think Sage will repair these rods without warranty for $100 or so. A guy(or gal) could epoxy on a new tip-top guide and the rod would probably cast just fine. I haven't got much use for the rod these days and could use a few bucks to help fund the next fishing trip. Great chance to own a $600 rod for a fraction of the cost. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

Handle shows wear& scratches with finish loss and discoloration to cork grip. Inside of case has minor dirtiness and stain transferred from the stretch strap that holds the rod sections in. Found as-is at estate sale. Vintage True Temper Traveller 200T rod with what appears to be a leather case. Rod has minor chipping on all pieces. Cork appears intact. This rod is in excellent condition no scuffs or nicks. It looks likes it has never been used. The case is in great condition except for one thing the inside has a very little bit of dirt on it. This auction includes the"X-Pert" Telescopic Steel Fly Rod carefully packaged for the winner. MARKINGS: The reel seat is marked: X-PERT inside and oval. No other markings were found. The maker is unknown to us. It could be. Repeat, could be any of the following: Bristol, Horton, Richardson, Shakespeare or South Bend as well as a few others. ROD CONDITION: The total length ... morewhen extended full length 108-5/8" or 9 FT. The rod is 39-1/2" when collapsed. Reel seat areas 4-1/2" Cork grip area 5" Total weight 9.4 oz. No serious damage found on the cork grip. The cork has it's natural patina and is in fine used condition. The rod features(3) RED AGATE line guides and the red agate tip-top. See the brown color shaft that is fairly clean with most of the paint intact. Naturally there are small areas of paint loss and some soiling scattered throughout. Each part extends properly as designed. ALL Red Agate line-guides and tip are in fine condition as there are no serious cracks or chips in any line guide. See close-up of guides) When rod is full-extended. The PLAY& FLEXIBILITY is unbelievable! NO rust on the internal sliding parts. 2 Piece ORVIS Green Mountain Graphite Fly Rod With Extra Top/Tip Piece. 8' for 6 Wt Line. With Green Mountain Hard Case& Soft sleeve sock. Rod weight is 2.6 ounces. Very nice condition. Has some wear on ring that hold reel and the bottom piece that holds reel is bent. I did put a reel on it and it held nice and tight(see pics) That bottom piece could be replaced. Vintage Orvis Superfine "Flea" fly rod tip top only!
Like new"Flea" tip top. The Amber wraps put this tip top in the early to mid eighties but as far as I know this will fit any six and a half foot. Four weight unsanded Superfine with the butt tack engraved"Flea" I had two from 1991 and it fit those butt sections perfectly. PayPal only.
