Vintage Custom Made Offshore Fishing Rod 50-80 lb. Class/Roller Guides
I am selling my Vintage Offshore Fishing Rod which I have used for years and did right well. I have had as small as 9/0 Penn on it. All the way up to a 12/0 Penn. Rod has plenty of Backbone and many days of fishing left. It has some wear issues but are only cosmetic and does not affect the use in any way. It's a good ole fishing rod that wants to fish again. Up for sale is a Fin-Nor 20-30lb 5'8 fishing rod with Aftco roller guides and Aftco removable unibutt. This rod is a rare find. Purchased for $379. The reel seat area is gold anodized and the rod is wrapped in black and gold. The rod uses an e-glass blank. It is in excellent condition but does have some minor cosmetic blems(from being on a boat) Very minor, nothing that would effect the rod strength in any way. The foam has an area where it looks like a hook had snagged(please see attached picture) All in all this is a very nice looking and quality fishing rod that is a great buy. This is a Vintage Big Game fishing rod with Vintage Tycoon FinNor Miami Roller guides and Aftco roller top. I am not sure if the rod itself is a Tycoon FinNor because I can't find any markings saying so. Just beyond the wrapping is the word"Bravo" on the rod. The rod stands at 6'10" in length. Has 5 Tycoon FinNor Miami roller guides in good shape, and Aftco roller top. The rod butt is an Aftco aluminum butt, stainless steel reel seat, and a foregrip that measures 9 inches and is made of a cloth fur material. It looks to me like the rod is rated from 80-130 LB test. It is a true big game rod, and heavy duty. It has green/yellow wrapping underneath the flexcoat. The rod overall is in good condition for its vintage age. This rod has 5 AFTCO roller guides and an AFTCO roller tip. It is made by Premier. I do not know what the blank is. It could be Calstar. Seeker, Sabre or Penn. I have tested it and it can hold up to ANYTHING! It has GREAT action and it looks HOT! The gold anodized reel seat really sets it up beautifully. The seat is meaty so a small real with rod clamps will not fit on this stick. An Penn International 16 does not fit. My 30's, 50's, and 70's work great! I have a set of 4. This is a vintage Hurricane IGFA 30U Big Game Rod. It is used and in good condition. It is rated for 30 LB test. 6'10" in length, AFTCO Aluminum UniButt, 5 AFTCO Roller Guides, and a Stuart Roller Top. It has a foregrip that looks like the same type of wrap a tennis racket has. The guides all line up nice and straight, the detachable aluminum AFTCO Rod butt comes apart easily, and the flexcoat doesn't look too bad. There is wear throughout from vintage age and use, saltwater rash on the guides, and some scratches and dings on the unibutt. I have described this rod to the best of my ability. This is a lot of 2 vintage Custom made trolling big game rods. They are both used and have wear throughout. They both have AFTCO Roller guides all the way up. And AFTCO Roller tips. They both have wooden butts with gimbals. One rod is 7 feet in length, and the other is 6'10" in length. The rod with a Marlin decal has alot of saltwater rash on all the guides and roller tip. Both rods have saltwater rash on the reel seats. Nice vintage pair of rods that could use some cleaning to get the shine back out of them. I have described these rods to the best of my ability. Vintage Fenwick 630 Fishing Rod 30 LB Class w/ AFTCO Roller Guides & Butt USA
This is a Fenwick model 630 30 LB class conventional Big game rod. It is used and in very good condition. The rod 6 feet 9" in length. Has 6 AFTCO Roller guides, AFTCO Roller top, foam foregrip, Aluminum AFTCO butt with gimbal, and Varmac RS2 reel seat(or maybe looks like RS20, can't tell) The aluminum AFTCO butt and Varmac reel seat is in excellent condition. AFTCO guides are nice with some rash(all rollers roll fine. Guide#3 is missing 1 screw, but still functions fine) Foam foregrip is in very good condition. Up for bid is a Conventional rod. I have little info on this rod other than it has two Aftco Roller guides and still seems to have plenty of fishing life in it. The rod seems to have a cork type of handle it has a total of 5 guides including the rollers one on the tip and one closest to where you would place your reel, it has no rod seat allowing you to place the reel where it feels most comfortable to you. as for max weight im not sure it does not say i can tell you that it is very hard to bend im 6ft tall 210 lbs and its very hard for me to bend, its a thick rod not sure what it is made out of. its a very tuff rod i can't imagine using it other than for very big fish.Maybe tuna guides appear to be stainless steel. the rod measures 6ft 6 inches any questions please send me a message thank you. I have up for auction a Lamiglas model CA 66 MHC-R Inshore Pro Light Tackle Special. I bought this rod when they first came out because I fell in love with the inshore roller guide series. The rod measures 6’6" its line wt is 8-17lb. Lure wt ½-2oz medium heavy tapper and features 7 Aftco inshore roller guides wrapped in royal blue on black and has a fuji reel seat with a trigger handle 4.5 inch black foam fore grip and a 10 inch back grip. I used to bring this down south to Florida in the winter time twice a year when I would tarpon and snook fish live bait and had a 400 Calcutta matched to her and it was perfect combo! This is a vintage Hurricane trolling rod with Tycoon Fin-Nor Miami roller guides. There are 4 Tycoon Fin-Nor Miami roller guides total. And Tycoon Fin-Nor roller tip. The guides are in good condition. The Hurricane rod has lost the Hurricane name. Model, and line test from the blank. It has worn completely off. In my opinion, the rod is rated for 20-40 LB test. The wooden butt has been painted, the cork foregrip has been varnished, and the bottom reel seat ring has a split in it. This is a lot of 2 vintage Fenwick big game conventional rods. They are used and described as follows: Fenwick model 821. Serial# N151976, 6'9" length, 20 LB class, Varmac NF2 reel seat, 6 stainless steel guides, AFTCO roller tip, stainless steel gimbal, foam grips. This rod is in good condition with nice shiny flexcoat, perfect shiny reel seat and gimbal, and the guide wrapping are all nice, tight, and perfect. The guides are not shiny anymore from age. Foam grips in perfect condition. Made in USA. Fenwick unknown model: the model number. Specs, and Eagle are no longer on the flexcoat. So, I believe its rated as 20-30 LB. it is 6'6" in length, 5 AFTCO Roller guides, AFTCO roller tip, gimbal, stainless steel reel seat, and foam grips. This rod has wear throughout from use. The roller guides have saltwater rash on them. Flexcoat ... morehas lost some luster. Guide wrapping has lost some color with some flexcoat chipping in a few spots.
