Vintage paper mache' female torso mannequin. Off white linen cover over a lightly padded paper mache' form. Heavy blonde wood base with black enamel on turned center. Adjustable height from about 30 inches for tabletop use or up to 45 inches for floor or step use. Easily comes apart for transport with thumb screw. Has a stainless steel rod. Open neck(see picture) Linen cover is perfect with all stitching intact. I have used this as a jewelry display and have added a black t-shirt pinned tight to change the color when needed. Measurements are: Bust- 33 1/2 inches. Waist- 28 inches. Hips- 34 inches. Shoulder to shoulder is 15 inches and top of neck to bottom of form is 21 inches. A great decade piece that will make your shop or collection stand apart from the rest. the Bust and legs are complete other than one problem area on the legs as can be see in the images. The only real issue are the arms. one of the arms is missing entirely and the other is damages at the wrist. The body has areas that lock together through metal components and are solid within the item. Wonderful set of THREE. Charming, vintage early 1940s, miniature sewing mannequin figures(Fashiondol) with five original sewing patterns. Fabric petticoat and original stand. They are each a different size and style with two having long. Slender arms which are removable to fit the fabric and dress her. PEGGY McCall" is. 13" tall, with no cracks or repairs and wears dark blue painted shoes and needs arms(or borrow from her 12" tall friend) The second mannequin is 12" tall and marked in raised letters across her back: Patent Pending(with several more lines not easily read) also in very good overall condition but may have had a professional neck repair long ago. Lastly. The third figure stands, 15" tall, marked: NYC and more lines of id that are hard to read. She is in very good condition although she has a few small ... morecomposition age lines as shown. Every now and then I am in a quandary- I have a mannequin that has some big problems- big enough that I'm almost afraid to sell her on eBay for fear of a bad feedback rating. But. On the other hand, with enough photos and disclosure of her problems, I feel it's worthwhile. She can go to a home that will put her to use, instead of a dumpster. So, I'm starting an"Adopt a Mannequin" club. If you find one of these in my listings, you'll know the mannequin has some serious issues. The price will be very low, and you can expect a mannequin that will not necessarily do a great job modeling merchandise, but will be a good hat stand or wig stand for yourself, or if you are inclined to use a little plaster and paint, you can restore her and make her gorgeous again. If this is the case, please send me a picture because I grow ... morea little attached to these old girls! In any case, this is an opportunity to get a vintage mannequin at a very low price! Please look closely at the photos and read the description carefully before bidding. I will attempt to list the most major of problems. But look at the photos for full disclosure. I'm not sure how old she is. But judging from the red velvet base, I would guess she is from the 1970's. She has a beautiful, exotic face and the front of her face is in good condition for her age, but the side of her face and her bodice are not. She has major cracks beneath her shoulder and along the red velvet base where it connects to her bodice. She has a crack along her left jawbone and on the outside of her left eye toward the hairline. You can see all of these in the photos. If you strategically wrap a scarf around her, she can still do a pretty good job modeling your hats and wigs. This auction is for the mannequin ONLY. WOW!!!! Antique vintage Greneker male mannequin head w/ glass eyes display doll
Here is a stunning antique"Greneker" male(however it can kind be unisex depending on what you put on top of it) mannequin head display piece. The eyes are AMAZING! Hand blown glass-greenish/brown color. They are not completely set into place and I will pack them separately when shipping for safety. This mannequin is in pristine condition for its age- I was told its 20's or earlier. There is a small crack on left ear and a little mark on left cheek(hardly noticeable but I'm mentioning it) There also is a small edge chip or cut out on the top right side on the back(which is not noticeable from the front and I'm not sure if it was meant to be that way. I think this display was for hats. VERY little repaint if any-2 dots is all I see in one spot. Here is a wonderful 24 1/2" antique infant mannequin wearing a sailor suit. Socks and old leather shoes. He is in great condition- I know he is OLD- not exactly sure how old- but I'm guessing between the 20's and 50's-sorry-I'm not an expert at mannequins and I was told he's old but I don't want to state an exact time) He has composition legs, arms and head. Her arms come out of the sockets for ease in designing and dressing and each arm peg has a little felt type fabric around it to hold the arms in tightly. Her shoes have pegs on the bottom which would have fit into holes in a stand, ... morewhich is not present. Beautiful paint face, so typical 1940's, with brown hair Just a tiny little flea bite on tip of her nose, not noticeable. She comes with a part of undies that have seen better days! There is a little paint loss on her shoes. The most noticeable flaw is a repair at her wrist. The hand is attached, however I can't attest to how sturdy this repair might be. It would be easy to dress her in long sleeves to cover this, or else a doll expert could do wonders with this small flaw. She stands 12 1/2" from the bottoms of the pegs on her feet to top of head. This is a partial body mannequin with the chromed steel stand. In very good condition. Left leg is removable for easy dressing. Light skin tone. A quality piece that looks good and is made well. Measurements. This piece is 43 1/2" high. Around the hip she is 33 1/2" Condition is good to fair. Nothing broken. Some marks but not really that many(scratches on buttock. One on back of a leg, most of the wear actually is on the bottom of the feet) The stand shows the most wear with some drips of white paint, lots of marks, and some rust. Shipping. Vintage Rootstein Female Cher Mannequin
Beautiful vintage 1970s mannequin by Rootstein known among collectors as Cher. I bought her about 10 years ago from modern mannequin in Houston Texas and she was sent to the amazing David Costa for her make up. She arrived to me with a little damage on her butt and thigh but nothing that has caused any issues or has gotten worse over the years. I was just to lazy to pack her legs back up to send back to MM to be fixed. Other wise shes in great vintage cond with the normal marks and hairlines in the paint finish in the collar bone area. This mannequin is not easy to find. Comes with butt rod and glass base that i got with her from MM and it is not a rootstein rod or base otherwise all original parts(head is rootstein and not the copy that was around awhile ago) Final sale so look at pics and ask any and all questions before bidding.
