Vintage Large Metal Industrial Safety Exit Sign This Sign is a great peice of American Manufacturing memorabilia worthy of any Industrial Collection. The back is thick metal and the Sign Maker in the day used a manufacturing process where a thick vinyl sheet was permanently bonded to the metal backing followed by(4) metal grommets in the corners for mounting. The Sign is very heavy& thick and measures 13 3/4" wide x 20" long. This vintage Sign would have hung in a Factory to protect workers against the hazards of the job and it still displays very well given its age. Sign has dirt. Scratches, chips, dents, dings, scuffs, paint splatter and everything else associated with an old Factory Exit Sign. Up for auction is an early large"GOODYEAR TIRE SERVICE CENTER SIGN" with the famous"FLYING SHOE LOGO" in the center. A fairly Hard to Find sign from the early 1950's- 1960's. Made from a heavy Tin. Shows damage with spots of heavy rust. A slight bow in the center near the damaged rust area with a hole showing through, scratches, paint loss and drips of grease or oil. Nice Graphics and Color.
