Item Condition: The sign has a few rust spots in the middle and some rusting around the mounting holes. Along with some white house paint(that should come right off) but is otherwise in good condition. Early Bardstown Distillery / Whiskey Sign.
Early Bardstown Distillery Self-framed Cardboard Sign. 1930's era sign. In VERY NICE CONDITION. Colors are vibrant(I took one picture with the flash to show the colors but it reflects the flash also) The Sign shows the Bardstown Distillery with the famous Bardstown Fiddle bottle in the lower right. The sign has a gold and green wooden frame with a metal label attached at the bottom that reads“Bardstown Distillery. Bourbon Springs, Kentucky– near Bardstown where Stephen Foster wrote My Old Kentucky Home” The sign does several minor scratches to the paper surface, I took pictures of the two largest. The Kentucky Whisky Museum in Bardstown has two similar signs displayed in their collection. And this one is as nice as theirs. Measures approximately 28" wide by 22" tall.

This was used at the old gas stations and set in between the pumps to help advertise the oils for sale. It holds exactly 20 1qt oil cans. 9 on each side. And 2 sit in the end as you can tell from the pictures. Overall good condition, shows signs of age with some patina and surface wear, but I haven't ever seen one better than this! Vintage 1960s Shell Oil Shellzone Pole Sign- NOS Here's something I bet you won't find every day! This vintage Shellzone pole sign dates to 1965-66. This was part of a Point-of-Sale advertising kit for Shell dealers. The advertising kit was for Shellzone antifreeze. This pole sign was never used. Sign measures 4 feet wide by 6 feet tall. But will fold in thirds for storage(and shipping) Folded, it measures 4 feet wide by 2 feet tall. There is minor yellowing consistent with the age of the piece. Comes with the original wooden hanging cleats. Please note that it also has hanging holes down the side as well as 3 sets of grommets in the middle(for hanging it on a pole) The black and white photos are from an advertising kit poster(which is being listed separately) They are on here to show you how this would have looked on a pole.
