This is a rare and original piece of antique jewelry. Classic choker set with large beautifully carved coral cameos of the best gem quality. The chain links, cameo settings, safety chain, clasp barrel parts and even the slightly discolored ball ends of the clasp all test strongly for 10 K gold. No hallmarks I could find. The tubular insert clasp opens smoothly when only the end balls are held and pulled away from each other- it is tight and very secure. What an amazing Victorian mourning pendant and necklace. It is in fine condition. There are no scratches or dents. The chain portion of the set is 19 3/4" long. Together. At least 150 years old, genuine salmon coral beads from Eastern Europe- likely from Poland, or West Ukraine, where coral necklaces(in Polish- koral'ki" played an important role being an everyday must-have part of womens' ethnic costumes since the Middle Ages. Since corals never existed in Baltic or Black Seas, all the beads were imported- mostly from Italy, or exchanged, being hard currency themselves. Super long and weighty necklace. Antique Italian(Sardinia Island) coral barrel beads. Absolutely undyed- of natural salmon/orange/reddish coloration. 2/3 of the beads are more on the salmon orange side; and 1/3- salmon reddish corals. Great condition- no dings, some natural veining on few beads. Very clean. New stringing. Please keep in mind that there are no more salmon or red corals ... morein Mediterranian Sea: they are totally extinct because of the heavy exploatation in the19 and first half of the 20 centuries. The irreparable changes in the ecosystem also caused the elimination of many species of marine fauna- like giant tridachna mollusk, and the whole coral family. This is probably the best. Original all intact Austro Hungarian empire necklace I have ever seen. It is so rare to find these with all the original stones, complete and unaltered. Most have been taken apart to make bracelets, earrings etc. please don’t buy this one if that’s your intent, it is so special as it is I’d like it to keep it’s original integrity as so many have been lost already) The necklace dates to circa 1890. It is hallmarked on the clasp in several places one mark has a 0 another has a small P with a symbol, this is an Austrian import mark to city of Pest circa 1900. The piece has all natural undyed dark salmon to oxblood range Sardinian coral cabochons throughout. The small foiled back pink stones may be rubellite tourmaline, but they are so small you can’t get a refractive index on them in the setting and I wasn’t willing ... moreto remove any for fear of damaging them. They may also be early foiled back paste. The chain is ornate filigree the pearls are all natural. The piece is in MINT condition meaning no missing stones, no solder repairs, no changes, modifications or alterations of ANY kind have been done to this investment quality necklace except for a single small jump ring replacement. I cannot tell you how hard it is to find these like this, also this is only the second of this type I have EVER seen in coral as that was not a typical stone choice. VICTORIAN PERIOD CARVED CORAL GOLD FILLED "BOOK CHAIN" NECKLACE with CAMEO SLIDE
Victorian period gold filled"book chain" necklace with carved coral cameo slide. C.1880's. This substantial slide necklace features a delicate prong-set coral cameo with a front closure clasp on the top of the slide. Each little cartouche or link on the chain bears a tiny diamond shape. The necklace is not marked and was sold to me as'gold filled. which I have confirmed using an x-ray fluorescence spectrometer(note this simply confirms the presence of gold not the gold content) The length of the necklace is just shy of 19 inches when open and the width of the chain measures 3/16 in. The cameo is 5/8 in. long and 9/16 in. wide. The slide function still works. Meaning that the little'tassle' ends of the chain can be pulled to make the cameo sit higher or lower as desired. The necklace is in excellent condition. The ... morechain is sturdy and moves fluidly. The detail on the cameo is crisp and bears no defects. The only notable damage is a VERY slight dent on the upper right edge of the verso near the clasp; however. The clasp works perfectly now. Art Deco French Bakelite Huge 5 Flower Necklace
This incredible 1930s French Bakelite flower necklace is absolutely magnificent. The black flowers have 5 smaller petals and one descending large one. Their centers are raised butterscotch bakelite. Which did test positive with simichrome The flowers are each 3 inches wide and 4 inches tall and their construction is quite complex due to all of their parts. The full length of the necklace is 26 inches and it closes with its original concealed screw-in clasp. The necklace is quite weighty due to all of its components and looks fabulous on.

Fresh to the market from a local estate is this beautiful antique art nouveau 14k gold lavalier pendant and chain. There are 13 tiny seed pearls and four larger seed pearls decorating the delicate frame. It appears that one tiny seed pearl may be missing from the top bail. A beautiful faceted aquamarine colored stone is the centerpiece of this lovely pendant. The pendant is just about 1 1/2" long including the bail. the chain is 15" long. Both the chain and pendant are marked 14k. The mark on the pendant is light and was difficult to locate. The weight is 3.5 g and this piece is very delicate& pretty. 100% customer satisfaction offered. 8% sales tax in New York State. I do not have a bite now and I do not end my auctions early.
