Sold at a fraction of the retail price. These reels should be £59.99, and this is offered at just £29.50 including postage. Please note again this price is heavily discounted given that there is some damage to the reel on the foot. But the reel will still fit on a rod. However- please remember that a new spare spool for one of these is £20.00 so you have all the spares you might need or a reel that can be used as a back up. This Shimano LX 3000 fixed spool reel is used but still in excellent working order. It was made in Korea and has very few scratches or marks. Vintage Allcock & Co Redditch Felton Crosswind Senior fixed spool reel
This bears the patent number 437 502 which was for the first model patent on 2nd May 1935 although the reel did not start production until 1937. This is a pre war model. The reel works smoothly. A common complaint is that it is a little noisy by modern standards. It is made of light alloy with an anti corrosive bronze finish, slipping clutch. I believe that the half bail arm is manual, it certainly is not automatic on this model.
