Both batteries are newer upgraded 18V NiCd Cat. No. 48-11-2230. Batteries have always been properly maintained and are still fresh and strong. The battery is reversible which is a nice feature for tight spots and up close to wall cutting. You can see this detail in the 1st picture. Not every cordless sawzall does this so it's a nice feature. Quik-Lok Blade Clamp for keyless blade changes. Orbit control switch for fine straight cutting action or more aggressive orbital action for demo work. The 12-18v charger does not respond to either battery so I'm unsure if the charger does not work or if both batteries are so dead they do not register. The batteries are# 48-11-2230 and show signs of heavy usage. As previously mentioned, they do not respond to the charging unit. Also included is a heavy duty molded plastic case.
