US Divers Aqualung"Calypso J" 1ST& 2ND Stage Regulator for Yoke Style Tank Valves with a Built In Reserve. This regulator set will be great for use with Stage bottles and Deco tanks. And it will also be a good choice as an entry level regulator set, or just to have with you as a spare. I have learned from experience that having a spare regulator with you on a dive trip can save the dive for you, instead of being stranded on the surface with an equipment problem. This is an older unit, with mostly metal parts instead of the cheaper plastic. The piston first stage has one high pressure port, and three low pressure ports. It also has a built in"reserve" lever on the first stage. I have found this can be very useful on stage and decompression bottles, since it will give you a warning that the tank is getting low, instead ... moreof just working fine until it runs empty, the way most newer balanced regulators do. This will avoid running the tank empty which can allow water to back flow into the tank, and that unpleasant surprised feeling when you breath out and there is nothing left. This set comes with a first stage dust cap and a 24 inch low pressure hose for the Calypso J second stage regulator. Like all regulators and life support equipment, this should be serviced by a qualified service center before use. The valves work good and all the slides move properly. The valves have decent plating and the 1st and 3rd valves have very good compression. The second valve has some compression. But the second valve slide has a dent with a tiny pin-hole that needs a patch over it. Once the second valve slide is patched, the second valve should have better compression. These valves were purchased for a food processing project that is now complete. They were gently used and have been leak tested to 100 psi. They have a Squeeze-trigger that can be locked in 13 different positions. The handle is simply squeezed to rotate the valve gate and can be rotated 180° so it can be closed on either side. Butterfly valves can be cleaned-in-place. They are also lighter and more compact that Tri Clover Compatible ball valves. Made of 304 stainless steel. They are commonly used in the beer. The beautiful shiny gold-lacquered finish is nearly 100% intact with a brilliant shine like a new horn. There a few really tiny scratches and a few really really tiny blemishes(can't even see in the photos) but it pretty much looks like a new horn because it has been beautifully re-lacquered. This trumpet is gorgeous because it ... morehas that rich durable epoxy goldlacquer with fancy nickel silver trim. It is stamped"Buescher" on the receiver. But the bell is blank. Based on other horns I've seen and my own research, I believe this to be a Super Aristocrat model(please correct me if I'm wrong) The Buescher trumpet was designed to be high quality advanced model trumpet and the quality level of craftsmanship on this horn is amazing. Serial number is 461XXX indicating it was built in approx. 1967. This trumpet has slick smooth quick valves and the pistons are in excellent shape. Valve casing design has that cool art deco look. All slides move freely and have just been lubricated. The build quality on this trumpet is top notch and Buescher has been a well respected horn builder for most of last century. There are no dents on this horn and a beautiful careful restoration has been done on it which no doubt cost hundreds of dollars. This beautiful horn was babied by the previous owner and carefully maintained and stored.
