6 Scuba Tank Valves - US Divers/Sherwood J-Valve - Lot Of 6 - No Reserve
6 Scuba Tank J-Valves You are bidding on a lot of six SCUBA tank J-valves. Five of these valves are US Divers brand and one is Sherwood Selpac brand. The threading is standard SCUBA thread and four are rated for 3000psi(marked as 5000R on burst disk plug) and two are rated for 2250psi(marked as 4600R on burst disk plug) Threads are in good condition and valves are in good working order. A few of the valves have a small bit of yellow paint on them(see photo) Otherwise, these are all in fairly clean condition. One of valves has a brass snorkel tube. The J-valves have a lever that when raised. Cut off airflow at about 300 psi- by lowering the lever, you gain access to the last 300 psi. This valve was used before the advent of the SPG as an emergency indicator that your tank was low on air and it was time to end the dive. The K-valve is the standard ... morevalve seen on most new tanks sold today and has one on/off knob. Great sounding traditional American Baritone Horn- probably the sound most contemporary composers had in mind for their pieces. Light. Ergonomic, and very enjoyable to play! Although well used. I get a solid resonant tone, with minimal effort on this horn. Normally, I tend to have stability issues on small mouthpieces like the 12c, but not on this horn. The instrument is very responsive with both a 12c and 6.5AL mouthpiece(I can include an old tenor-shank 12c if you need one) I believe the King 2266 is a pro horn(probably worth a re-lacquer or $50 strip-to-raw brass) Made in the USA. 1970s MSRP $3.700- $3,970 Everything works mechanically(valves& slides) And the horn sounds great! The shiny lacquered finish is approx. 90% intact showing scratches/ little blemishes throughout from normal use(please see pictures) The trumpet still holds a great shine as you can see and looks presentable. The valves are very smooth and all work properly. Pistons are in great shape with the plating intact. Slides are all free and lubricated and the horn is totally ready to play. This is a very solid and well built horn and is 100% complete with all original parts. There is engraving on the bell which reads"OLDS ... moreAMBASSADOR FULLERTON CALIF. Serial# is 755XXX indicating it was built in 1971 when Olds quality was still top notch. These horns were built very strong with students needs in mind.
