They do have light scratches, but are still wearable. The arms appear to be made from aluminum, and it looks like you can use a Philips head screw driver to adjust their length if desired. The frames are about 5.5" in length across the top, and there is about 5 and 3/8" distance between the arms. Right out of a steel mill or other site that required protection for more than just the noggin. Here is an all blue Sellstrom Model 600 construction helmet. The removable apron which shows wear around the edges and is missing a tie on one side. Is held on by four snaps which attach it onto the adjustable band. The cushioned front looks like leather and is spotless. Probably from using the apron to completely cover the scalp. Vintage Sellstrom Adjustable Safety Glasses with Side Shields - Work in STYLE!
This is an incredible pair of vintage 1960's Sellstrom safety glasses. The frames are a black colored aluminum. These safety glasses have plastic side shields for added eye protection that have a fun nubby texture. The glasses still have their original lenses. which are a heavyweight protective clear glass and have the Sellstrom"SM" logo embossed near the top of each lens. The glasses have aluminum arms that are adjustable. Allowing the user to customize them to their own desired fit. Overall, the frames are still in fantastic condition for their age, showing extremely minimal wear. The plastic side shields do show some extremely light discoloration. The lenses are in great condition, with no heavy nicks or scratches. They look as if they have hardly been used over the years. Vintage Sellstrom Bakelite Safety Goggles w/ box& Extra Dockson Lenses These are wild. Sellstrom No. 600 LEV Goggle Complete with LEV thin Excelolite Lenses Shade 5. Probably from the 1940's or 1950's. I found them in some of my dad's stuff. The goggles are bakelite with a leather strap and buckle between the eyepieces. Both green and clear glass lenses are installed. The extra lenses are thick clear and(ultra rare) bright blue. They are a different brand. But fit perfectly. Collect them, wear them, or whatever. Good vintage condition. No damage. The elastic seems weak, but I think that is how is was made back then. The box has wear and is somewhat discolored. I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS. Sellstrom safety glasses disinfecting cabinet with chain key and locks doors shut very good and i have not tested it with a bulb but I have turned on the timer and it is getting power to the florescent light fixture were the bulb connects. It will need some paint there is some surface rust. Some sanding and paint should do the job these cabinets sell for 1,500 or more you can restore this like new for a real low cost.It came from a school.
