Antique 1899 Singer Sewing Machine w/ EMC Motor and Revco-Matic parts or repair Up for your consideration is this vintage or antique Singer Sewing machine with a serial number of 15832740. If my research is correct that will date this machine back to 1899 making it well over 100 years old. I am no expert on these old machines but will do my best to describe what I have. There is no case for this old machine. Ornate Singer appears to be in pretty good condition but I do notice that it is missing a chrome metal piece near the needle. See pics) Wheel in back spins freely and the needle moves up and down when spun. Bobbin? appears to be in place but again I am no expert. Very ornate piece that will clean up nicely. I also notice that someone has added an E.M.C. Standard Sewing Machine Motor. Old cloth cord on the motor is in pretty good condition ... morebut you may wish to change the plug in. I did plug in the motor to find that it seems to be in good working condition. Spins freely however there is no belt to hook the motor to the machine to see if it turns the machine. A sewing machine light has also been added which looks to be in working condition but is in need of a new bulb. The machine also has a sticker added which leads me to believe the machine has been restored at one time or another by Sewing Machine Exchange. The machine also has one other added extra. This is a Revco Matic which I believe lets you sew backwards or forwards. This is a nice clean vintage machine that could be restored to full working condition or used for parts. I found some exactly like this one online for around $5.000 but I dont know what the differences could be because I cant find a model number or anything.
