You are purchasing a Stainless Steel Dewatering Screw Press/ Screw Conveyor with a tapered hub. The tapered hub is a valuable option difficult to find on these type units that allows for better compression and water removal from solids. An adjustable back pressure disc is used to control the extent to which product is compressed and the degree of water removal through the strainer/screen. The hole size in the strainer and the number of holes reduces as the outlet is approached. A small screw conveyor/auger will be required to pull product from the outlet. This unit was removed from a seafood plant where it was used to dewater seafood byproduct; it was in working order when the plant was decommissioned. This is an NGK Japanese brand. Model NS 400.
