Yamaha Electone Organ D-2B Service Manual
While most Yamaha organ service manuals have only the schematics. This manual has the descriptions of how the various circuits operate. The other manuals require a second manual, usually called the servicing guide, for the circuit descriptions. The D-2B also has a large removable foldout sheet with the overall schematic just like most Yamaha manuals. The D-2B manual is also a little longer than a standard Yamaha manual and because of this the top of the outer cover is creased and torn on the top. The inside pages just barely show any effects like the cover and still look very good. Perfect to have if you are servicing a D-2B or happen to own one.

King 2B Silver Sonic Trombone (HN White), 1960s vintage, Sterling Silver Bell
H.N. White King 2B Silver Sonic Trombone. Early 1960's This is a refinished King 2B Silver Sonic with S/N 387036. Which dates it to the early 1960's. This was made under the H.N. White name in Cleveland Ohio. The bell section has"036" stamped on the tuning slide and bell tube. Both hand slide sections have 387036 stamped on them. The horn is about 95%+ cosmetically, with a beautiful bell section. The slide action is not very good though, and this is reflected in the opening bid. This is virtually identical to the 2B SS I listed earlier this week that lasted all of 45 minutes. A mid-60's black coffin case with blue velvet interior is included. BREAKING NEWS: After a final thorough cleaning of the slide this evening. Once it dried what I thought was some discoloration is actually some bad pitting from corrosion inside ... morethe upper, inner slide tube below the lead pipe. It's deep enough and extensive enough that I feel the tube should be replaced and have lowered the price a bit. I believe that the bell section and coffin case by themselves are worth the asking price. However. Mouthpiece is NOT included. Trombone stand in the pics is NOT included. Please feel free to ask questions! Playability Tone-wise the horn is great. As expected from a vintage 2B. Very responsive, and easy to play. It projects well and would be perfect for jazz lead and solo work, as many famous(and not so famous) trombonists have found in the past. The biggest problem is the slide. It's just not that good which is very frustrating for a horn of this caliber. It is"sticky" and sluggish across the entire slide length, and hangs up noticeably from 7th up to 5th position. It improves with the correct mix of lubrication and water but it is never good enough to completely remove that frustration. Although it is certainly playable and you could use it on a gig as it sits, it would be a frustrating experience. The slide is a little closer to the bell than I prefer, with 1" of clearance. 1943 Conn 2B, B Flat New World Symphony 1st Slide Trigger 3rd Slide Ring Trumpet
This is a one owner horn that my dad purchased new in 1933-34(installments- see receipt) It is silver plated with a gold wash bell and has the No. 1 1/2 bore(458in) yielding a rich tone. It is in better than average condition. But not perfect. Other than minor dents, there is a dent in the bell for which my brothers and I are responsible. In 1954, my parents left us with a baby sitter for the evening and we boys got out dads bugle and trumpet out for a little entertainment. The trumpet soon went back into the case with a crisp new dent. My dad had it fixed, but it is still visible. I wish we had not done that. Someone is going to win a great horn with a beautiful sound. It comes with the case which is rough on the outside but still plush on the inside. It also has the mouthpiece. I couldn't find any codes for the rim or cup. King Jiggs Whigham 2B trombone bell with vintage 2B slide
You are bidding on a like new King Jiggs Whigham 2B bell(serial number 802793) and vintage King 2B slide(matching serial numbers 329810. Inner and outer) a Bach 12C mouthpiece and a SKB molded case in good shape. The slide has one little spot of wear on the inner slide but doesn't effect its action which is very smooth and quiet. The Jiggs bell is a darker sounding bell and very well suited for jazz, it is a very free blowing horn with a great tone in all registers. King 2B Brass Trombone (HN White), late 1950s vintage
H.N. White King 2B Trombone. Late 1950's This King 2B brass trombone has potential but also has its fair share of warts. The serial number of 351787 dates it to the late 1950's. It still retains the original finish which has the dark golden patina as opposed to the bright brass on the newer horns. It plays well but has slide issues and dents in the tuning slide. Mouthpiece is NOT included. Trombone stand in the pics is NOT included. Please feel free to ask questions! Playability This horn actually plays very well. Responsive in all registers. The slide action is not very good and has catches all up and down the length, as well as being pretty"draggy. This would make a great beginner to intermediate horn as it sits, or spend some time and/or dollars to get the tuning slide and hand slide repaired and you've got a very economical ... moreprofessional-quality vintage horn. The slide is a little closer to the bell than I prefer, with slightly more than 1" of clearance. You will probably want your technician to adjust this out a bit. Across 8 horns, I've measured clearances between 1" and 1 3/4" I still have my very first horn from when I was a kid(an all original 2B Silver Sonic) and it has a clearance of 1 1/2" Bell The brass bell seems a little thicker to me than other 2B's I've had. There are a few small dents along the throat around the area of the hand brace. The bell flair is straight with only a few minor dings. The original finish shows some wear and scratches here and there. While the engraving is nice and sharp. The goosneck had a horrible mess of tape on it, so there was not much finish left once I got rid of the tape(the adhesive actually softened and ate the finish) The hand brace shows wear and some erosion. Tuning Slide The tuning slide moves freely; it has a number of dents and a spot that was obviously badly dented and"repaired. King 2B Silver Sonic Trombone (Eastlake), 1960s vintage, Sterling Silver Bell
King 2B Silver Sonic Trombone. Mid-late 1960's? This is the last of my 2B Silver Sonic 2B's for sale. It has the late Eastlake Ohio engraving on the bell. With a S/N of 410053 on the slide. I'm not sure if this is the original slide for the horn; it dates to the mid 1960's. There are no numbers on the bell section which is typical of the later HN White and Eastlake horns. I would call this one in average condition. It has some finish issues and slide issues, but it is a nice economical 2B Silver Sonic. The following description sounds a bit grim in the interests of full disclosure, but it is quite presentable overall and plays well. A silver-blue"alligator" case is included. Study the pictures carefully, and ask questions! Mouthpiece is NOT included. Trombone stand in the pics is NOT included. Playability It plays ... morelike a typical 2B SS with bright sound when pushed. Without"cracking" and mellow tone when played softly. It really didn't like my Schilke 43A that I normally use, and I had to go to a larger custom mouthpiece that I normally use on my 3B. Once it warmed up(and I did too) I had no problems playing in all registers. You will probably have to experiment to find the best mouthpiece that works for you. The slide action is so-so, and has a slight hesitation coming out of 1st position, some catches up and down the length, and a hangup coming from 7th to 6th. With Slide-O-Mix and water it isn't too bad but it will require some TLC. I would not hesitate to use it on a gig, especially a high-risk(outdoor, drunken wedding, etc) but it would require staying on top of the lubrication. Bell The bell still retains its original finish. Which has some scratches and spotting throughout. The goldwash is still strong, but has a thin ring of wear- probably from being set on a stand. There are several small dents and dings along the bell and on the bell flair. The gooseneck tube has finish loss, a ding or two, and some distortions from dent repairs. Ex quality 1949 Conn 2B New World Symphony trumpet. The serial number is 389775 dating it to 1949. The horn has been buffed and re-lacquered and is about 85% with spotting. There are many small dings and a patch soldered to the bell bend. Slides#2+#3 are stuck and the horn needs to be serviced. This is a King 2B Liberty Trombone from the mid 70's(believed to be 1976) based on the serial number. This is a great horn for the jazz or lead trombonist. Horn shows wear but plays great. Great horn to take and customize to your likings. If I were to play this horn full time. I would have the slide section refinished.The small dents in the tuning slide, neck crook and end of slide have no affect on it's playing response. A new King 2B would run you atleast $1,600. You can buy this horn, do some serious customization and still have cash left over for the price of a new 2B. I will say, the bell section on this horn is thick and solid. King Trombone 2B Valve Section Only - early 1970's
King Trombone 2B Valve Section ONLY This auction is for ONE King 2B Valve Section ONLY. Serial number 462807 which dates to the early 1970's. The valve section for sale is in the lower left in the comparison photos. The other components(bells& valve section) shown in pictures are for COMPARISON ONLY and are NOT included. Only ONE valve section(S/N 462807) is included in this auction. Some misguided soul decided to do some modifications to this poor 2B valve section. And replaced the receiver tubing with some monstrosity. The angle of the section to the bell is all messed up as evidenced by the comparison photos. Perhaps this was for a marching horn? Regardless, it looks pretty stupid to me even though it doesn't affect the playing per se. It definitely affects the balance overall and makes the horn a pain to hold properly. The ... moreoriginal tubing leading from the receiver into the#1 valve is slightly crumpled. It looks to me like the best bet is to replace the tubing from#1 out to the threaded receiver to take care of this damaged section and restore the correct alignment. I don't know if this tubing is still available as a service part. But should be a fairly straightforward fabrication job. The threaded portion of the receiver, nut, and bracing is there and can be reused. The brace just looks like it was split and a piece scabbed in between. The nut was a bit tight on both the bells I tried this on; it doesn't appear to be cross-threaded but the threads may need to be cleaned up. All the tuning slides are free and moving properly. Although#2 is a little tight. Note that the valve button on#3 is different and a replacement of some sort. It appears to have some corrosion in the upper tube from the lead pipe to the main tuning slide. The valve action is good and smooth, but#3 is slightly sluggish. All three valves were stiff and slow when I pulled this out a few days ago, and with some cleaning and oiling it has improved dramatically. They all could stand a bit more cleaning and polishing but this

Playability To be honest I didn't expect much from this rig. Frankly the slide section is pretty much junk. I was pleasantly surprised. Though, that with the valve section this horn comes alive, much more than with the original Tempo slide. Upper register is nice and clear and easy to play, I was able to crank out double high G's and Ab's fairly easily. The valves work properly and seal well. They all move fast and smoothly, although#3 you can feel a slight scratchiness, but there is no drag. It's probably just dirty, this has been sitting in the back room for over 10 years with no attention and shows dirt and corrosion in the valve section and tubing(which is the condition I received it) It needs to be professionally cleaned for sure.
