This auction is for an Orvis 9'3" 2 3/4oz Graphite Fly Fishing Rod. Rod is for a five weight line.It is the Spring Creek model. I have had it for better then eight years. And it was used when I purchased it. I now have the Battenkill Reel with a five weight line that was used with this rod. See my other listings for it. This reel is in great shape and has only minor blemishes. Does not appear to have gotten very much use. The most significant blemish is a ding on the outside of the spool(see photos. It is in great working order. We don't know a lot about this series of reels but have done some research. The reel was made in Argentina- probably in the 80's. It has a click and pawl drag with an adjustment knob. It is a sturdy reel that would be good for trout or larger species of fish. We have read that it is designated for use with 7/8/9 weight lines. 2011 10.5 meter Flexifoil Ion 5 Kiteboarding Kite with Bar and Line Set, no pump
Up for bids is my used 10.5 meter 2011 model Flexifoil Ion 5 with bar and line set(no pump is included) My poor 10.5 was the newest of my Ions. And in the best condition, until disaster struck. The wind died and my kite went down, no big deal. I was swimming in and a two foot wave took my kite in, also no big deal, but at the same time my board got ripped out of my hands and went in along side the kite. When I caught up to the kite it was nearly ripped in half. I can only assume the fins of the board sliced through the canopy as the wave was tiny. The good news is I had it professionally repaired at Prokite in Texas(for $175.00- ouch) and it flies perfectly. Unfortunately they must not have had the correct color canopy fabric because they used some funky white fabric. Whatever. At least it flies well. So it's still a great kite, but probably ... moreis more suitable for a backup or a kite to learn on now because you really can't be cool with a giant repair slicing down the middle of your kite. The bar and line set is in very good condition so definitely some value there(those things are almost $400 new) So this thing is ready to fly. The Flexifoil Ion 5 is a great kite. This item was produced during the 1920's when Winchester Repeating Arms produced hardware and sporting goods for sale in their line of hardware stores known as Winchester Stores. This was the largest tackle box in the Winchester line with two removable trays, both of which are included with box. This is pretty unusual as many trays are lost, especially the small one in the lower compartment. The Winchester trade mark is painted inside the top lid. Condition is really very good considering the age and how the piece was used in life. There are the usual dents and scratches from usage, light surface corrosion(but no holes or feathering of the tin material) paint wear. Owner's initials painted on the front.
