It does not appear to be morse taper, but it is very close to Brown& Sharpe taper. Over 2" of the Length of the taper it drops approx. 082"or maybe.083" in diameter, Brown and Sharpe is typically about.085" on the smaller B&S sizes, maybne the big ones are different? Otherwise it might be a Jarno Taper. Dimensions. Specially adapted to the requirements of government arsenals, navy yards, docks and their various bureaus" I don't use the word rare very often because it is usually misused by applying it to items that are commonplace. I will use it here, this is a"RARE" item. When I picked up this a few years ago it was one of 3 copies known among collectors. The catalog is 6" by 9" and has 300 pages with illustrations and descriptions of Oliver wood working machinery. It is in overall good condition, the heavy paper covers have some edge and corner wear. The cloth spine is worn thin and the red lettering on the spine is barely ... morelegible. The binding is intact but loose. The pages inside have the occasional dog-ear but are nice and bright, complete, and the illustrations are nice and bright. The front cover logo is in very nice condition and has a sticker stating"Compliments Eastern Office 120 Liberty Street, New York" Overall this is a great catalog and will make a very nice addition to your Oliver collection.
