For sale is one Flo Line convertible fishing reel. These reels were manufactured by Lou Myers and are one of the more unique designs of vintage convertible spinning/casting reels. This reel has a lot of nice features on it. You simply depress the lever on the foot and you can convert the reel from spinning to casting or vice a versa. Another nice feature is there is a lever below the handle on the backside that allows you to change the direction the spool retrieves the line when you converted from spinning to casting, it also has an adjustable clicker which when turning the knob next to the lever you can decrease or increase the loudness of the clicker which is a feature seen on very few reels. The real also has a outboard drag wheel located on the end of the handle which will allow you to adjust the amount attention you want on your line. ... moreThis real has normal amount of paint loss around the edges, I find that this paint is very brittle and comes off with very little use, this reel exhibits very little use. Another interesting feature is you can remove the spool and replace it with another one in less than 5 seconds giving you the option to use different types of line. I have a large collection of fishing reels and owned a number of Flow Line and I'm fascinated by the many innovations found on this vintage real it was really quite advanced for its time. I have been fortunate to find a number of these reels with the original boxes. The box does have one corner that has been repaired on the top only and it is clearly visible in one of my pictures and appears to have been repaired with of all things a Band-Aid smart idea whoever did it. The bottom is in excellent shape. Mechanically this reel is 100% sound and everything functions perfectly, the reel retains over 90% of its original finish and the foot is unaltered and in excellent condition with no corrosion and very little finish loss. The neck is straight and in good shape. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Frets are good. Kay inlaid in the headstock. Very cool tuner buttons. Comes with its original HSC. Up for bid is a very early 1900's Couch 16 line intercom phone. I have done no cleaning to this phone and selling it as you see it in the pictures. Someone did add a wire to the top of the phone to hang it as a display piece but this wire can easily be removed but I am leaving it in case the winning bidder still wants it. There is a date of 1906 on the plate on the front. It says S.H. Couch Company Boston Mass. around the metal plate around the mouth piece. The mouth piece is in perfect condition with no breaks or cracks as you find alot of them because of how delicate they are. As the inside is opened you see all the inter workings of the phone. It looks like the wire to the hear piece is not connected. There is a patent date on the inside of the wooden case of Mar 8. 1910. For your consideration I am listing a very nice made in USA used Penn Peer No. 209 fishing reel. The reel is in perfect working condition. This is a very clean reel and as you can see in the pictures the side plates look like new. The reel is filled with high tensile fishing wire that is incredibly strong. I don't know what the strength is but it has to be way up there at close to 100 pounds. This reel is set up to catch big fish. The wire line on it is very expensive stuff.
