Stunning looking large flow blue Covered Cheese Dish made by William Alsager Adderley c1880+- the pattern is CROMER and it is fully marked to the base. It stands approx. 7 1/2" high to top of handle and the Plate is around 11 1/4" long x 8" wide. There is a te eny nick on the underside of the base rim edge- to be felt for rather than seen and a faint line in the glaze(doesnt go through) across the base of the handle(please see close up) it runs maybe 3/4" either side of the handle too but as you can see it is very minor and barely noticed. Gla ze is rich. It is extremely clean and unused looking- I doubt it was used very often at all from the condition- always nice to see with patterned Plate too. Alfred Meakin Flow Blue Ormonde pattern oval open vegetable dish 9.5" by 7.5"
I have for auction this evening a very nice example of flow blue by a great maker Alfred Meakin of England. This lovely piece is made of very white high gloss glazed semi-porcelain on which has been fired a lovely transfer that has flowed in the firing and the pattern name is Ormonde. The floral transfer has been very well applied and the florals pop nicely against the bone white of the semi-porcelain. The pattern has been cold fire gilted making it a piece of the makers"gold standard" collection and the gorgeous slip trail affects on the rim and the scalloped edge just raise this piece above the norm and making it a collectors choice for flow blue pieces. This would look great in your cabinet with other pieces by this maker and pattern or sitting among other great pieces by any of the fine makers of flow blue. Grindley Flow Blue Unusual 4 1/4" x 6" Sauce Dish Lorne pattern
This unusual Grindley flow blue sauce dish in the Lorne Pattern measures approximately 4 1/4" x 6" and stands 1 1/4" high. This piece has no cracks. But is USED and has utensil marks inside and slight wear on the bottom. A tripod mark is in the blue pattern on one side and two tripod marks are on the opposite edge of the dish as is typical of these small dishes. This dish shows crazing. And several tiny"flea bites" are noted on the edge of the dish; they are less than 1 mm. in size. Note the size comparison photos of a tea cup from the same set and to a teaspoon. The tea cup and the teaspoon are for comparison purposes only and are not included in this auction. Bearing the date year number for 1897. This lovely flow blue dinner service produced by the important Staffordshire pottery W.H. Grindley& Co. The wares are decorated with flow blue roses and scrollwork heightened with applied gold. Light embossed foliates are also found(see photo) The plate undersides display the blue underglaze factory logo as well as pattern number and decorator's marks. The service includes 12, 9" dinner plates, 11, 6" saucers, and 7 cups. Condition: Seven of the plates are in wonderful condition. Antique 1850's Deep Flow Blue Ironstone Platter Tonquin Pattern Oriental Pattern
For your consideration is this Joseph Heath Blue Flow Ironstone Platter in the Tonquin Pattern. This 8 sided platter measures approximately 15.25" by 11.75" It is a great example of the Oriental category. The cobalt blue is rich and dark. This platter dates between 1845 and 1853 and was produced in Staffordshire. England by Joseph Heath. There are some slight utensil scratches on the face of the plate and three small holes which appear to be from mounting on a wall. I took several pictures so please use the zoom to get a better idea of the condition. I hope that the flaws in this will show in the pictures. Beautiful Flow Blue Dish or Tray decorated with a Pattern similar to Blue Onion. Blue Danube and Blue Dresden. Not sure if it's a Pin Tray or Relish Dish. Or Could be a Razor or Toothbrush Holder Base except there is not edge lip for the Lid to rest on. Unmarked, Probably German- c. 1891. Beautiful coloring and design! Just removed from the family estate of south Texas Pioneers Sidbury Family. There is some information on the estate at the end of the listing. I believe this piece would be a TUREEN. It is made similiar to the John Alcock Vincennes. Walker TAVOY and other makers of the 1850s. The flow black mulberry patterns of the middle east were all the rage in the mid 1800s. Measures about 9 inches to top of finial and 5.5 inches across bottom. This piece does not have a makers name and I have not been able to match it to a manufacturer. Has the octogonal style base and lid. The attached turned handles do not have cameos under them. Has a number of small chips and has staining on bottom. Finial was a clean break and has an old repair. Seems the finial was very weak on these pieces as I have seen this often. c 1845 Jacob Furnival 6-Sided Staffordshire Flow Blue Covered Dish Shanghae Pat
Listing is for a Jacob Furnival flow blue 12" 6-sided scolloped edge covered vegetable dish with a button finial in the shanghae pattern. Item was manufactured in Cobridge. Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England between 1845 and 1870. The bottom is in excellent condition, no cracks, no chips, no crazing, no discoloration. There are several places around the rim where the glaze did not cover entirely, however. The cover has sustained some damage as is evidenced in photos 10& 11. The underside of the top rim appears to have suffered an impact that created a 1/2" x 3/4" chip and two hairline cracks. Also, the button finial on top was disloged at some point and reattached. Circa 1838-48 Lintin pattern flow blue handleless cup and saucer
This circa 1838-48 flow blue handle less cup and saucer is in the Lintin pattern. It is marked W R& S co. The mark for Willaim Ridgway and Son. The panel form cup measures about 4 inches across the top and stands about three inches tall. The saucer, also panel form, measures about 6 inches across. This is a very old piece and it does have some issues-the saucer has a crack(see the photo) and the cup has two chips on underside of the rim as well as some roughness from wear on the foot.

It looks like Naoml China- but I'm not sure what that first word is. There were gold accents along the border. But much of it is worn off. There are no chips or cracks to any of the pieces. Flow Blue China, Touraine Pattern Platter 6-3/4" X 10-1/4", Stanley Pottery Vtg.
Over the next week or two. I will be offering for auction at no reserve, individual pieces from a fabulous set of Flow Blue China purchased from a wonderful estate in Lynn, Massachusetts. The Flow Blue set is in the Touraine Pattern and was manufactured by both Stanley Pottery Company and Henry Alcock& Co. in the same design pattern. The Touraine Pattern features a floral design with a very dark blue border and gold gilding. It is a vintage set, and contains no reproductions pieces. The English Registry Mark on the back for Stanley Pottery Company indicates a Circa date of 1898; and the backstamp on Henry Alcock pieces date it Circa 1891- 1900. Altogether this full set consists of service for 12 and has many serving pieces. I have taken a group photo of all the pieces to show what will be available for auction purchase. Unfortunately ... moremy dining room table is not large enough for me to have done a photo with a full formal dining setting. Beautiful flow blue La Belle pitcher by Wheeling Pottery of West Virginia. In remarkable condition. The pitcher was made between 1893 and 1903 and has Wheeling's torch, two eagle heads and WP mark. The pitcher is 7.75" to 8" from handle to spout and about 6" tall. It is detailed with gold trim, outlining the small flowers, on the curved handle and on the rim. The base is scalloped.
