This is a flow blue plate marked W. H. Grindley Made in England c.1895. I am fairly certain this is the Marechal Neil pattern. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. A few spots have a little extra of the blue on white seen in photo 2 from manufacturing. Has a slight scallop rim with embossed design. The blue is a very deep shade. Measures 8 5/8" diameter. Genuine Antique Flow Blue & White 'Siam' Oriental 12" Footed Cake Plate Stand
This large and beautiful antique flow blue footed cake plate dates from between 1862 and 1876. The plate features a striking oriental blue and white pattern in the center and around the edge. The pattern continues underneath the rim of the plate and also around the foot. Bamboo. Chrysanthemums and other flowers are the main features in the pattern. It was manufactured in Tunstall. Staffs by a company named Beech& Hancock and has their backstamp of a swan and scroll together with B&H and the design name of'Siam' underneath. Please see photo. It measures 30 cm(12" in diameter and stands 7 cm(2.75) high. The piece is very heavy weighing almost 1.5kg without wrapping and is obviously top quality. Very good condition for age and use. No chips. Cracks or restoration. Some all over crazing and consequent very light staining ... morewhere the plate joins the side. The bone dish is marked on the back with the pattern Catherine Mermet. The only pattern I can find that Grindley made with that name is not flow blue. It is white with brown rose border. Offered is this lovely set of FIVE Flow Blue rim soup plates or soup bowls made in England by Booths. This semi-porcelain china blank features a scalloped rim with a beaded design around the edge. The cobalt blue design features a dark blue“ribbon” with lighter ovals. Under the ribbon on the rim are floral designs spaced between designs of scrolls and curlicues. Another border design encircles the well of the bowl. At one time the outside rim was decorated with gold. But the gold is almost entirely worn away. We believe this china dates to the early 1900s. In addition to the blue back stamp, the bowls also bear an impressed mark on the bottom that reads R, with Booths below that. The rim soups measure 10.25 inches in diameter(26 cm) and stand 1 5/8 inches high(4.2 cm) They are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Gold trim is almost ... moreworn off. A Vintage WH Grindley Melbourne Flow Blue Pattern Butter Pat Dish. Measures about 3 1/8" in diameter. CONDITION: In nice shape. No chips or damage. There are two bump defects along the edge of the dish that have some surrounding discoloration and speckling. A good deal of the gold paint has rubbed off. Some utensil scratches and discoloration on the bottom rim from display. I purchase all of my items at auctions. Estate sales and flea markets so cannot be sure of their history or whether they've come from smoke-free or pet-free homes. I do my best to list any damage or use, but I'm not an expert. Lovely Antique Flow Blue Grindley Melbourne Dinner Plate 1900 Blue & White
You are invited to bid on this lovely antique flow blue dinner plate. Made by W H Grindley& Co of Tunstall, Staffordshire in approximately 1900. It is decorated with a blue and white pattern called'Melbourne' The rimof the plate is decorated with a border of alternating panels containing flowers and leaves, and a diamond pattern. The rim is further decorated with a raised scrolling pattern and little beads. The edge of the plate is scalloped. The plate measures almost 10" across. The underside bears the printed Grindley backstamp dating to approximately 1900. The plate is in generally good condition with no cracks. But there are two chips to the underside of the rim near the backstamp- see photo- these cannot be seen from the front. There are also a couple of small faults in the glaze on the back of the rim and slight scuffing ... moreto the surface glaze. A lovely serviceable old pottery piece. This system was built for a cost of over 3 Million dollars and used for research. Item is fully functional in a clean room and can be inspected. Please contact for inspection. The tool can handle 200mm wafers or 150mm wafers using ceramic wafer carriers. There are two rapid thermal processing(RTP) units that can be used for pulsed atomic layer deposition or continuous gas flow. They are capable of vacuums down to 1 x10-8 torr provided by magnetically levitated turbo pumps backed by a common roughing pump. And temperatures up to 750°C. The RTP's can process up to 4 different gasses using pulsed flow or continuous flow supplied from the gas delivery cabinet that can supply the gas from buffer boxes at pressures from 0.1 torr to 200 torr. The RTP's can process an infinite amount of easily configurable recipes that control multiple ... morecycles of temperature. Gas pulses, gas selection, hold and anneals process segments. For example, one RTP can be used to pulse Tri-Methyl Aluminum and the other water to make single crystal Al2O3 dielectric or both gasses can be fed to the same chamber to make the oxide and two wafers can be processed simultaneously, one in each RTP, at different process conditions. The wafer temperature is measured by both a thermocouple up to 700°C and pyrometers up to the max temperature. The heater is lowered to accelerate heating rate and raised to accelerate cooling. The MBE unit has an E-gun for evaporating material from 4 different recipe selectable pocket crucibles and is capable of temperatures up to 900°C and vacuums as low as 1 x 10-8 torr. The unit controls the operation of three shutters. The source shutter to prevent excess evaporation into the chamber during idle periods, the substrate shutter to prevent deposition on the substrate during crucible heat up and a shutter on a deposition rate crystal to shield the crystal from continuous deposition to extend its life. Antique Staffordshire GAUDY WELSH Tea Leaf Ironstone Flow Blue Lusterware N/R!
An early 1800's Gaudy Welsh plate with heavy flow blue in tea leaf pattern. Nice heavy plate with a tea leaf at its center and three fronds spaced evenly about the edge. Near each frond are two small flowers. One red and one green. Measures 9 3/8" across by 1 1/4" deep. There is an early chip on the lower edge of the plate near the 7:00 position. It has darkened greatly over the years. There are also three cracks in the plate. Each ranging from 2" to 3" in length. Only one of these is readily visible from the front. Offered for your bidding consideration is a wonderful piece of early U.S. militaria in this fine example of antique flow blue porcelain. This plate depicts. In the transferware style, U.S.S. Boston at sea. Her name may be seen under magnification on port side aft in the water. Boston was a 19th century"protected class" cruiser launched in 1884 and commissioned in 1887. Boston took part in the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish American War. She was later called back into service several times. During WW1 as a training vessel and after the Great War again where she remained in service until c. 1945 as receiving vessel for the US Navy. Based on certain details pertaining to the configuration of the ship, the artist probably used a photo of her as she appeared prior to the Spanish American War. Perhaps circa 1891.
