This is a fantastic cup with nice decorative pattern that is in very good condition with minor wear to the cup and saucer from use and age. But a small chip on the edge of the saucer(see photos) The cup has eight edges and use gold gilt as a highlight on the edge to go along with the detailed gold designs on the cup. The saucer has a scalloped edge and is also gold gilded. The cup measures about 2 1/2 inches in short diameter and about 3 1/2 inches in long diameter as well as 3" in height. You are bidding on an Antique Blue Flow Bowl circa late 1800's. The bowl is marked on the back with a blue stamp and an impressed#1203. I cannot make out the mark. Except the word"England" and the mark looks like an open laurel wreath with a crown above which is consistent with the early Minton mark. The owner's note said Minton, but I can't confirm. Although this piece has a chip out of the bottom edge of the bowl. It still is a handsome piece for display. Inside center has a rose on white background and, when tipped toward the light, you can see a gold etched rose over the top of the blue. Beautiful rare and hard to find antique flow blue ironstone salad or side plate having an extremely deep blue oriental fishing scene. It has twelve panel-like edges. It measures approximately 7-1/2" in diameter. The mark on its back is in blue and is fading away. The first word is'BEAUTY' then'OF' then it gets really blurry and not understandable. There are no impressed marks. I am not sure who the maker of this gorgeous plate is nor the pattern. I did locate a chip on this plate after photos were taken. It is on the bottom left rim and someone actually took a deep blue paint or marker and colored it in. The chip is approximately 1/4" by 1/4" if you would like pictures of the chip. Beautiful Mid-19th C. Flow Blue Pedestal Compote Open Handle Grapevine Pattern
When I first saw this. I went- wow! It is not often you encounter such an elaborately made, intact, mid-Victorian era ironstone 2pc compote of this nature in such vivid flow blue colors. While not perfect, the minor imperfections it does exhibit are well earned over time and can be restored w/minimal effort by an experienced restoration expert. Standing 7.75" to the upswing part of the handles, the compote bowl measures 12" from handle to handle& 10.5" across the body. The triangular shaped base is about 7" each side. The mark on this is mid-19th century, but I cannot decipher a pattern name/manufacturer it consists of two animals, appearing to be lions but maybe a lion& some other large cat on the other side holding a pedestal with a crown at the top, sort of like Pearl Stone Ware mark in the oval center section- ... moreminus the crown) A banner runs under it which would have the name but due to the angle of the stamp it didn't come out clearly and I just can't read it. Exquisitely decorated with molded relief grapevine handles and almost a fleur-de-lis sloping columned base. The blue grapevine pattern is clear& covers the piece top& undersides as well. So there are a few nicks as I've tried to picture in the center column attachment and what may be a fairly new(er) under-rim chip, as pictured(auction piece, who knows how they handled it before it went up for bid) But it is solid, the chips/nicks are minor and what presence this piece would make on any sideboard or table center at the holidays or otherwise. You won't find another as nice as this unless you look very hard, and very long so bid now with confidence as your satisfaction is always assured when buying from me!

But based on the style I'm thinking pre-1900 on this one. A molded relief decoration follows the upper& lower parts including handle which are gilt highlighted. The pitcher stands 7" tall and is excellent overall blue coloring. There is an old, tight hairline in lower handle which you will see and a star on the base but that does not come through to the inside as shown, it is superficial only. Flow Blue Covered Pedestal Dish
Up for auction is a Flow Blue Pedestal Dish. I'm listing this for a friend. There is some damage to the handle and it looks to have been repaired. I'm not an expert on this type of pottery so I'm not sure what it was repaired with. I don't see any other chips or damage It's a lovely dish and would look great on any table though.

Up for your consideration is a very nice antique vintage flow blue Torbrex pattern with a floral design and the Grecian Key covered dish tureen from the Standley Pottery Co. The bottom of the inside dish measures 9 3/4" wide or and about 12 1/4" from handle to handle x 3" tall x. It is marked TORBREX STANDLEY POTTERY CO. BURSLEM ENGLAND with the crown marking. It is in very good antique condition with no chips or cracks.Just some light brown staining from age on the inside and bottom of the dish and also the normal crazing. The lid measures THe lid measures 10 1/4" x 7 3/4" There is no chips or cracks that I can find, only very light crazing from aging. Otherwise it is a very covered dish tureen and would make a great addition or replacement piece to your Flow Blue TORBREX pattern dishes collection! Antique Burgess & Leigh Middlleport Non Pareil Flow Blue Covered Vegetable Dish
ENGLAND BURGESS& LEIGH MIDDLEPORT POTTERY NON PAREIL(FLOW BLUE) PATTERN RECTANGULAR COVERED FOOTED VEGETABLE SERVING DISH This is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen! It has scenes with castles. Trees, mountains, and Victorian people on the rim of the dish as well as in the center and on the cover. There are also flowers, leaves and swirls. Both the dish and cover have such unique, elegant shapes.The handle on the cover is a flower with a raised flower and leaves below it. This is marked on the bottom with the Burgess& Leigh logo and name. This mark was used from 1889 to 1919. The number 8 is engraved in the bottom of the cover and the number 12 is engraved on the bottom of the dish. This piece is 12" long and 8 1/2" wide. The dish alone is 2 1/2" high and 5 1/2" high with the cover. There are some ... moreglaze bubbles and a small chip on one of the four feet(see last two pictures) This is an absolutely stunning piece! Please view my other auctions. All of the pieces have remained in four generations of the same family. A little history. Burgess& Leigh began producing earthenware in the Staffordshire Potteries in 1862. William Leigh was in partnership for more than thirty years with Frederick Rathbone Burgess. A descendant of the Rathbone family, who were pottery manufacturers in Tunstall. The expansion of the business soon necessitated a move from its first home, the Central Pottery, to the Hill Pottery previously occupied by Samuel Alcock& Co, one of the few firms to make both china and earthenware. Burgess& Leigh acquired at the time a number of Alcock's best known shapes and patterns. They operated out of the Hill Pottery from 1867 to 1889. As the business still continued to expand. HTF 1844 PEKIN 5 3/8" FLOW BLUE POLYCHROME CHILD'S PLATE DAVENPORT ENGLAND
Beautiful and Hard-To-Find Flow Blue Polychrome Child's Plate in the Pekin Pattern. Made by Davenport. Staffordshire, England- c. 1844. The Child's Plate is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. Just of few very light scratches which are not noticeable unless hold the plate up sideways to light. Crazing is present which. Of course, commonly found on these pieces. The Hand-Painted Polychrome coloring is in good condition with some generalized light wear. But still pretty much intact with the exception of the Green which has rubbed to Yellow(Green being is a very unstable color) This darling Plate measures 5 3/8" in diameter.

HTF 1844 CYPRESS 5 1/2" MULBERRY FLOW BLUE CREAM PITCHER DAVENPORT ENGLAND
Lovely and Hard-To-Find Mulberry Cream Pitcher in the Cypress Pattern. Made by Davenport. Staffordshire, England- c. 1844. This Scenic Pattern was also made in Flow Blue. The Pitcher is in very good condition with no cracks and only a tiny 1/8" shallow chip and a couple of very shallow 1/16" nibbles on the top rim- not noticeable unless looking closely. Crazing is present which. Of course, commonly found on these pieces. It measures 5 1/2" in height.

Antique Staffordshire Flow Blue 'Plymouth 1620' Jug
On offer is a wonderful antique wide mouth large toby style jug with great colour and character. Flow blue(transferware) pattern commemorating the landing at Plymouth Rock in 1620. Turn it around slowly and there are pictures of Myles Standish. John Alden(the ship's cooper on the Mayflower who refused to return to England and later became a member of Standish's Duxbury militia) and Priscilla Mullins(a passenger also on the Mayflower who married Alden but whose whole family tragically died the next winter) the Mayflower in Plymouth Harbour, pilgrims going to church, the old fort at Burial Hill etc. The words'Plymouth Pilgrim' are inside the upper edge while the year'1620' hugs the curve of the handle. There is what looks to be a green Staffordshire Ironstone type mark on the base but no company name is legible. Only'Staffordshire ... moreEngland' If anyone can give me more definitive information on this label, that would be most appreciated. Jug measures 6" 15 cm in height and is 9" 22.5 cm wide. The open top has a diameter of 6" 15cm. No chips. Cracks or evident restoration. There is crazing and the upper lip shows evidence of'browning' The inside bowl is very clean and the crazing is extremely faint. Nonetheless, still sturdy and useful and if you are a collector of flow blue here is a pretty piece of historical significance worth a look. 2 IPSWICH by J & G MEAKIN CUPS White Gold BLUE HTF Antique 1912 Flow?
Up for your consideration are these 2(two) beautiful cups produced by J& G Meakin in Hanley. England in the Ipswich pattern. The pattern is a stunning blue on a white background and has a gold accent trim adoring it. This pieces date to circa 1912. This piece measures 3-3/4 inches in diameter without the handles and 2-3/8 inches tall. One cup it is free from chips. Nicks, crazing, or cracks but does have a pin-prick stain on the inside bottom of the cup. The other cup has crazing and stains on the inside of the cup and a small chip on the bottom rim. Wood and Son TRILBY Wash Basin Blue Flow Transferware This auction is for one(1) beautiful Wood and Sons Ltd. cobalt blue transfer Wash Basin in the TRILBY pattern. The Wash Basin is glazed an overall glossy white with floral cobalt blue transfers and gold accents. There are 3 groups of the larger flower arrangement and 3 of a smaller grouping inside the bowl. The outside has 2 of each arrangement. The edge is lightly scalloped and has some embossing. The embossing is decorated with gold. There is a gold accent line on the rim. There us gold wear on the accent line on the edge, but the rest of the gold accents look very good. There is minor crazing on the base. There are some glaze pips and tiny skips throughout. There are some minor use scratches and some blue stains which is not unexpected in blue flow. I also have the matching chamber pot on sale this week.
