On a personal level I have been using this calcite in both my longwave and shortwave displays. Often manganoan calcite comes in polished form; usually small to medium size ovals or balls. This one has not been altered- it is still in rough form and is pink and white. It also has a thin drusy coating on one side. It doesn't alter the fluorescence so it appears that the drusy coating is. In fact, calcite. I'd not run into this before recently. I used it when I had to wear a crisply ironed uniform for work. I got this model based on reviews. Because I wanted a real iron, and also wanted a long cord. The iron goes over the fabric really well, due to the SilverStone coating. There's a little wear and scratches, so check the third photo. The steam is abundant, so clothes get ironed a lot quicker than with run of the mill irons. Up for Bid is a Beautiful Glass Leaning Tower of Pisa with a Ruby Red Coating on it. There is some writing on the bottom that looks like the word Mollacci. It is not easily read in part but looks like an Italian name so I am listing it as Made in Italy. We have a larger Pisa Bottle of a similar style that was made in Italy so I think this bottle was also made there. It is 5 Inches tall and durable. It is in excellent shape except that it has a barely noticeable hair-width scratch or manufacturing flaw near the lip that is not coated. I needed to use a magnifying glass in order to see it. We found one on another site for $265. It appears to have been well oiled as it is virtually free from rust. We have left it farm fresh with original patina just as we discovered it. Weighs about 11 pounds. Base Measures: 15.5" long X 4.25 wide. 7" tall. Each brass tray measure 8" across.
