I had lots of fun burning things and experimenting. I remember burning paper, cardboard, melting plastic and even the asphalt on the driveway, woodburning and more. So pull the plug on the wii, ps2 and iphone and take the kids outdoors to learn and have fun! Anyhow now years later I stumble into a wholesale lot of these and after a blast from the past. I now offer these to you ebayers to continue the fun. Basically a fresnel lens duplicates the effect of a large convex lense but in a flat easy to handle surface. Holding it in the direct sunlight can produce instant super hot spot at the focal point several inches below it.
