It has glass panes(13 all together) a large textured frosted like glass in the middle and red and green glass panes around that, 6 larger red panes and 6 smaller green panes) It is a pretty heavy wooden door and the wood itself could use some tlc. The glass panes are in excellent condition, no cracking or chipping. It is missing most of the hardware but does have a skeleton key back plate attached to both sides of the door. I dont' know much about doors so I don't know if it is Victorian style or not. It would be a very cool and unique entry door for your fixer upper project. It is painted on the exterior side and has never been stained or painted on the interior. It is in good overall condition with typical dings for its age. It does not come with hardware. The hardware is being sold in a separate auction. The door was originally set installed with surface hinges and has a right hand swing. This is marked National Cash Register. Dayton, Ohio, number 303269/ 47, it has patent numbers from 1889 to 1897, this dates 1901 from what I have found. This is made of brass and has elaborate high relief ornate work on all sides. Has the original marble pad below the keys which is in good condition with no chips. The keys all work and have the original numbers on the top of each. The drawer opens to a wood lined cash drawer, in good condition, there is one slot with a small spot of wood veneer missing. On the side it opens for a tape, this appears to be all working but I do not have a tape to test it. The top is enclosed with glass, the number ... moreall pop up inside the enclosed glass. It sits on the original attached dark oak wood base. Everything opens, there are key slots and I do not have any keys to lock it. The brass is beautiful with minor tarnish. I believe this is all original and not refurbished. It measures 19" across the widest part, 17 1/4" high by 16" deep, weight approximately 80+ pounds, I can not lift it. One of the glass doors is broken where the handle was attached and will need to be replaced. We still have the handle so you could still use it and they would match. We're not sure of the wood. Vintage TIN CAKE SAVER Wood Plate & Glass Knob carrier metal cover server Green
Vintage Cake Saver. Cover. Marked lightly on bottom of wood base plate and hard to read, I think it is"Empeco" also has quite a bit more hard to read writing. Tin/metal cover with glass knob. Base plate is made of wood(very unusual) Rare type. Hard to find. 13 inch diameter and 5 inches tall overall excluding the top knob. Wood base plate diameter is 13 inches. Metal cover is 12 inch diameter at bottom and slopes upward to 10 1/2 inch diameter on top. It weighs about 3 pounds. Color is a bit darker green than it appears in photos. I do not see any serious dents to the metal. There is some paint loss most notable on top with heavy wear to the paint around the glass knob. Has a nice floral stem and leaf pattern that was possibly hand painted. The wood base plate was made wood strips that were joined togeather. One of the joints in ... moreparticular is separating(see photo#7) but it is still sturdy and sound. I have made note of any breaks. Damages, or repairs that I see. This item is very old and cosmetic appearance is nowhere near perfect. Some age and wear as would be expected on an item this old. Still looks nice. See photos for cosmetic appearance. It will be insured for full sale price thru USPS against damage or loss during shipping. It is vintage and in as found condition. Except I cleaned it quickly and lightly. Collectible Frosted Clear Glass& Wood Chess and Checker Pieces Plus Backgammon Search This is an incredible game board set. It comes with a set of frosted and clear chess. Checker and backgammon pieces. It also comes with a domino's set. Then there appears to be some hand carved chess pieces. I've tried my hardest to figure out what these pieces are made off. But was unsuccessful. I inherited this set and so I have no history on these pieces. All the pieces are carved on both sides and have a original front and back to each piece. Anyway. I don't believe these pieces came with the original set, but were additions and I just ended up getting them with the rest of the game. The brown pieces look like wood. But then again I am uncertain. Because there is a slight clanking sound when you rub them together, I am going to say not. ... moreThe ivory pieces look like faux ivory, but again, I could be wrong. They could both be made out of the same material and one set was stained for use as an opponent. In either case, they are beautiful to look at. Sadly. On the ivory side, the queen is missing. Maybe a future buyer might know of someone who can duplicate the piece. I was bummed when I realized that it was missing. Also, one of the ivory pieces looks like someone tried to stain it, but maybe realized they had enough stained, but again I am uncertain. So that piece shows a little darker. Maybe the new owner can find something to clean it up. You could be getting a set that is worth a great deal. But again, uncertain. I posted a couple of the dark pieces so you can view up close and see the beautiful details. Included: It comes with a dark frosted glass game board that is in excellent shape. There are no chips or cracks in it anywhere that I can see. It comes with a backgammon board that is made of pressed wood and has a few dings in it. You can use this cute cabinet for showing off your collectibles because there is no silver left on what was once the beveled mirror. I used it to display eyewash cups and eye drop bottles. But it would be great for other small items. There are three tempered glass shelves and six different brackets to place them on; you could always add more. The door has a magnet closure. Size is 23 inches high x 16-3/4 inches wide x 4 inches deep. The wood is a warm and satiny look. Ash or maple perhaps? The mirror at the back is removable so that you can mount it on the wall, and then replace the mirror. There is no towel bar, but you can see where you could add one. I’m guessing the age as 1920s and it was once painted white. The knob is not original. Somewhere in its history it sustained a burn on the bottom shelf. I am not sure of the purchase price. The age, or the wood type. The stain is a chestnut color. The desk are two parts. The approximate dimensions of the lower secretary desk part are 36 inches tall, 34.5 inches wide, 19 inches deep. The approximate dimensions of the upper bookshelf part are 33 inches tall. 32 inches wide at the bottom(where it rest on the secretary desk) and 36.5 inches tall(from the top moulding trim) 11.5 inches deep. The drawers have dovetail construction and all four drawers open and close fully. The handles. Hinges, and hardware appear to be brass(not positive of the material) One of the eight handles came out of the hinge socket. I have the handle ... moreloose so it can be reattached and repaired. The bookshelf unit has a glass front. The glass is in good shape with some sticker residue which needs to be cleaned. The very top of the bookshelf has a circular mark which appears to be where the previous owner(s) kept a plant. On the fold down writing desk there is a small chip in the wood on the left hand corner. There are four holes on top of the secretary desk where the bookcase is attached also there are scratches and wear from the bookcase rests(these are not visible when the desk is attached) The back has rough unfinished wood showing. Vintage Japanese Wood Door or Window Pair w Cherry Blossum Glass or End Table
This is a pair of Japanese sliding windows with a brass screw lock in the middle The lock works very well. It hangs down when not in use and when it is locked it is lifted up. Pushed into the hole and then it locks into the other window by turning it clockwise and screwing it in. It's pretty much a standard way of locking windows in the more traditional houses/ buildings. The glass is easy t take out and clean. It slides out from a groove in between the front and back. The glass is an older style patterend glass with cherry blossums imprinted in it. These could also be made into a pair of end tables. They are 22 1/2 x 16 inches and 1 1/4 inches wide. They weigh 8 1/4 pounds. We have other antique/vintage Japanese items on our ebay site. This is a great looking American ladel. It measures 14" 35.1 cm) in length. The glass bowl is 3 1/2" 8.9 cm) in diameter at the mouth and is 3 1/4(8.4 cm) deep. The handle is turned and black. There is a 1 1/2" 3.8 cm) ribbed German silver piece that connects the handle the bowl. When he look inside the bowl you can see where the glass blown into silver to for strength. There is a 1 3/4" 4.4 cm) circle line on the bottom of the bowl. Which was the pontil. There are two seams, one from the pontil ring to the handle and one on the opposite side. Is embossed at the lower part of the glass bowl with"MARBURY"Patented, April 21, 1896" The glass is very heavy so it most likely has flint in it. There is in"Aero" shaped line and glass, next the letter. This is not a crack! It is only on the outside the ... morebowl and is a mark in the glass created when the molten glasswas blown into a mold. There are numerous small air bubbles in the glass and one larger one at the top rim. The glass and handle are perfect. There are two very narrow half-inch long splits in the metal silver connector, that is normal for its age and use. There is a"frosted" area on the glass to the right of the lettering that looks like wear from when the ladle was used. While resting in a bowl this area would be in contact with the bowl.
