Vintage Nippon Moriage Dragonware blue eye dragon, pink tongue, 17 piece set
Gorgeous set. This is a complete set. tea pot. Creamer and sugar bowl. 6 cups and saucers. The dragon is blue eyed. No cracks, chips or hairline cracks. There is gold around the rim of the cups and saucers which show some wear. The handles and finale of the pot and sugar bowl are gilded. There is gold along the belly of the dragon and a swirl of gold beneath the dragon. Unmarked Nippon ranges from 1891 to 1921. 1891 united states required all imports to be marked, but some ports allowed unmarked items in if the crates where marked. Then in 1921 All imports had to be marked with the country of origin. Also piece where not marked in Japan if they were not intended for exported out of the country. Often, great ages are assigned to Dragonware because of its over-the-top styling, the fact some examples have no company markings* or they were gifts ... moregiven to distant seafaring relations 150 years ago by Japanese royalty. Quality varies considerably for these sets as some have minimal moriage decoration with very detailed depictions of dragons, others appearing as over-decorated birthday cakes with the dragons and moriage popping out over three-quarters of an inch above the surface. Generally, it’s the earlier examples with a more subdued decoration that are the best quality, while the pieces featuring heavy moriage usually turn out to be later examples.

Modernist ring I believe this is Danish from Denmark three tower mark sterling silver. Unknown makers marks. This has been on my desk for 2 years and I have had a hard time deciding to sell this. Size 6 1/4. This is a heavy solid ring. It looks like a tongue and lips. Or a modernist yin and yang symbol. Or maybe a clitoris and labia. 1 1/8 inch long. 1/4 inch wide in the back. Circa 1970. The IRD-6185-RS can be set to one of two aural subcarrier modes: fixed(6.8 MHz) and variable(5.4 to 8.2 MHz) An external 70 MHz IF loop allows TI filters to be insert-ed as needed. The IF loop comes with a standard 32 MHz IF bandwidth filter installed(optional filters are external) The IRD-6185-RS is housed in a height. 1.75" high, rack mountable, steel chassis.
