The Army and Navy Needle Book from early 1900's. Many of the needles are still in this little cardboard needle case. The Front of the needle book has The Army and Navy Needle Book with a naval ship and biplane pictured as well as the eagle. The back cover has Highest Diamond Drilled Eyed Sharps Sewing Needles and in fine print at the bottom: Made in Japan. Inside on the left side is Silver Steel and then 4 different sizes of needles. These spinning needles are in terrific shape(no cracks or rot! and could possibly be used if not, these are a definite awesome collectors piece. The needles measure from tip to tip- 10&1/8" long. The top of the needles measures 1&1/8" wide and the bottom measures almost 3/8" wide. Schmetz discontinued manufacturing needles that fit the Willcox& Gibbs chain stitch sewing machine. These Schmetz needles have the groove all the way up the shaft as required for the machine to slide over the pin in the needle bar. It will fit the older glass tension machine. The automatic and the later electric chain stitch machines. Mirror smooth Schmetz needles glide through fabric and are superior to the original Willcox& Gibbs needles with a dull finish that does not penetrate all fabrics smoothly. Over the years I have used both original and Schmetz needles in my Willcox& Gibbs machines and discovered the problem of using dull finish needles. Especially on some fabrics and layers. This syrine is mostly used by veterinarians for vaccinating hogs, at least that what it states on the back of the phamplet. I'm sure that it can be used on other livestock around the farm. 3 Organ MY1014 Needles for Wheeler & Wilson #8, #9, & Singer 9W Sewing Machines
3 new Organ MY1014 needles size 14 for Wheeler& Wilson#8. 9 and Singer 9W. These are recommended replacements for the obsolete 127x1 or Boye 18 and 27 and are much less costly. The main difference is the original has a flat shank and the MY1014, an industrial needle, has a round shank, see picture 2. A needle threader can be used to manually align the scarf of the needle to the left. The Organ MY1014 needles are slightly ballpoint. These needles work nicely in my W&W9 and am told they also work well in the#8 and 9W. Buy Qty 3 and the tenth needle is free.

That means that these were made prior to the contract date, as they were distributed on that date in 1917. Antique 1850's Brass Sewing Bird Clamp & Matching Pin Cushion w/Needles
An antique dealer’s statement of value for this item is $325.00 This antique Brass Sewing Bird Clamp is in used condition. The sewing bird is about 4" x 5" and has 2 areas for pin cushions. The bottom cushion is original but has been recovered. The top cushion was missing so it has been replaced and matches the bottom cushion. The bird clamp for the material still clamps tightly and the screw clamp for the table moves freely- they are not froze up or broken. The mark on the top of one wing reads Patented and on the other wing. It looks like FEB. It is circa 1850 and is a unique piece of sewing memorabilia. The vintage antique Pin Cushion is in used condition. The pin cushion has some wear on the maroon brocade. It is about 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" and includes a few old needles. Pins& safety pins. The box is oak and in good condition. It has a nick mark on the top back surface as shown. It measures17" wide, 8" deep and 3-1/2" high. There are hundreds of packs of needles from Hercules, Goodrich and Foley and Williams. There are needles in all most all the packs. They range fom 1 to 3 or more per pack in like new condition. Vintage zippered case darning mending thread wood spools needles nice condition
This vintage sewing and mending set includes 14 small balls of mending or darning thread. And 4 spools of sewing thread, 2 J&P Coats brand and 2 have"OK" printed on the wood ends. There are 12 small wooden spools of"Kloster" darning floss. The case is about 7" long, has a nice zipper opener. The outside is a woven pattern in shades of brown and tan, looks like fabric, and has a finish on it to protect it. The interior is red satin, with a velveteen pin cushion in the center. There is a small flaw in the cushion, not a hole but a pin may have caused it. There is a bone tool set in the lid, not sure what it was used for. Also a paper of needles, and a safety pin. The original mica diaphragm has been clean and reinstalled and it works perfectly. The balance springs have been replaced because the originals were broken. New rubber diaphragm gaskets and have been installed to replace the old hardened originals. Beeswax was applied to the needle bar/diaphragm connection as described in a Victor Talking Machine Company patent. The thumbscrew is original and is in perfect working order. During alignment of the reproducer the needle arm screws were adjusted for proper tension of the balance springs and optimum centering of the arm. This is necessary so that the reproducer has the best possible volume and optimum fidelity. This reproducer sounds great and I trust you will be delighted with it. Huge Lot of old Sewing Stuff, Wooden Spools, Needles, Pinking Sissors and More
This is a huge lot of old sewing things. There are alot of wooden spools, Thread, Buttons, Thread holders, Pinking sissors, Darning needles. and more. This all belonged to a friend who is 92. She moved and left me all of her things. I am going through my things as well, and will be listing different items. I will also be happy to combine shipping to help save on cost. Thank you so much.
