For sale are a pair of K2 Omni 3.5 Mens downhill skis with Marker brand MOD 10.0 bindings. While these skis are a few years old(~8) They are in good condition as they have been well cared for. I am selling these because I have outgrown them and they have just been sitting in my basement. These skis are excellent for intermediate-level male skiers(i.e. blue trails) I have used them in every snow condition imaginable from deep powder in Utah to ice in New England. These skis are forgiving in most slope condtions. There are a few minor scratches on the top sheet and bases, but they are in overall good condition. Volkl Kendo skis(170 cm) with Marker Griffon Bindings. I skied these about 12 days. The bases are in great shape. No p-tex or repairs, only a few minor surface scratches which can barely be caught by a fingernail. Edges are in good shape as well. The top sheet has the usual cosmetic wear and tear that would be expected for 12 good days of skiing. Most of the scratches and scrapes are at the side edge of the topsheet and there is one nick on the corner of the topsheet near one of the binding heel pieces. I've provided some close-up pics of the areas where the blemishes are most notable so that you may judge for yourself. The bindings are Marker Griffon(DIN 4-12) are quite light and mounted for my boot sole length of 309mm. They are in similarly good shape with some cosmetic nicks, scratches and scrapes. Payment. This antique skirt hem marker is a fun piece of sewing history! I found this at an estate sale. I could only find two newspaper ads that mention this marker brand in a Google search-dated 1910& 1918. It appears to be made of some type of metal. It stands ~ 8.5 inches high and still holds the original chalk. It's in vintage/used condition but I think it would still work as you can still adjust the height. Please see photos for details on its condition. The Blizzard Bodacious wasn't ski of the year for no reason. The extremely versatile shape is best suited for the ungroomed powder. Bowls and trees, but can take on the rest of the mountain with ease. At 118 mm underfoot the Bodacious can float in all but the deepest snow, and still be a riot to rail down groomers. Blizzards Flipcore 3D builds the rocker in the ski naturally without bending or breaking the wood core. The rocker in the tip and tail make the Bodacious very playful, yet stable enough for you test your speed limit while still making the ski easy to float in all of the deep stuff. A layer of titanium adds some torsional and lateral strength, but a layer of bamboo keeps the ski light and easy to maneuver in tight conditions. It was purchased around 1970 by Olin Corporation and for a couple of years built skis under the Olin label, until Olin had its own factory up and running in Middletown. Conn. Then the Authier plant was sold to Rossignol. Rossi turned management over to Gaston Haldemann. A brilliant engineer who had invented a method for building tough. Hollow-core fiberglass skis. Haldemann skis were expensive, but the company sold them under the Rossignol. Lange and Authier labels until the'90s. When they sort of priced themselves out of the market. Rossignol sold the factory to a group of Swiss investors(including Pirmin Zurbriggen) Vampires were built during this period. The Vampire was a top-quality high performance ... morerecreational ski. Sort a light GS model. It was named after the deHavilland Vampire fighter aircraft. Built in Great Britain and used by the Swiss Air Force(among others) during the early 1950s There are two different skis that are called"Authier Vampyrs" The first ones were made in Switzerland in the late-40s through late-50s. The second ones were made in the late-80s through early-90s by a related Swiss manufacturer, and used a wood veneer topsheet with replica decals to give the look of the original Vampyrs, but the rest of the ski was modern in every respect.
