No chips other ... morethan small chips at the end of the lower tenon of upper joint(see photo) Only repair appears to be the reattachment of the thumb rest(see photo) All mechanics move fluidly. Nothing stuck, springs function as expected. My amateur guess is that this instrument dates from around 1951. This clarinet requires repading. It could also be cleaned and use an overhaul.
