Estate find, vintage high quality lapping stone. Made in Canada, marked DA 800 GB7; 3" wide, 8" OD; 3 1/2 hole; over 8 pounds each; owner was machinist at Baush& Lomb in the 50's and a professional knife maker as a hobby; I believe this stone was originally used for grinding and it is one of the best quality stones I have seen; small chip in a couple spots as shown, I do not see any concavity on either side.
