The cover plates in the picture are shown with the protective paper on it, which needs to be removed prior to using. Disclaimer: We have had a slight number of customers having issues with these lenses. Most customers(approx 90% Say they love the lenses and they work great. I have talked to the customers and it sounds like when they heat up they glaze over and get blurry. The material we use is about 70 degrees less working temp than normal lenses. When talking about welding temps, 70 degrees difference isn't much to worry about. So for customers doing shop work, hobby/garage welding, or anything besides like being in a ditch right underneath a pipe doing overhead welding with a bunch of splatter coming down on the lenses where the environment temperatures get really high, you will have no issues. Most people's helmets dont get 150+ degrees while welding and those are the people with no issues. So just a heads up with what we have heard from a few rare cases. We are looking into production of these lenses with the same material as the manufactures use on your original lenses. Thanks

Selling my used AF-S II 400mm f/2.8 lens since I"upgraded" to the VR-II version. I was hoping to gain something. But the only thing I gained is VR, which I almost never use. This lens is just as fast w/ AF. Just as sharp, and weighs the same as the newest VRII version. Lens is in excellent condition with just a few scuffs. The carbon fiber hoods have quite a few scuffs, but function fully. Optics are excellent with some internal dust that does not affect image quality at all. Aperture blades are perfect. Rear lens cap and strap. The long foot can be replaced with a shorter version(not included) No case or front cap. Included are two example photos taken with this lens. The Phoebe was taken at 400mm. Up for auction is my well-cared-for Sigma DC 18-50 mm f/1:2.8 EX lens. Its versatility and brightness makes it a perfect walk-around lens for photos outside or inside. In bright sun or low light. I have used it on and off for two years. It shows some minor signs of wear, and it works fine, except that from time to time it seems to over- or under-expose photos, suggesting that the aperture isn't working perfectly. There are no noticeable scratches, rubs or mars and I can see no signs of fungus. Comes with lens hood, protective cover and UV filter(the UV filter has a tiny nick near the edge, though, which I couldn’t get into the photos) Insured shipping is $14.99 to PayPal-certified U.S. addresses.
