Scrapes and marks from use- there is an area on the right side, on the first inside vertical divider left hand side toward the top where one of the backside screws came through the divider and chipped the wood, it was repaired- see photos- there is a horizontal scratch to the right inside of the 2nd left hand divider toward the top, it is about 1 1/2 inches down from the top edge- I think that it is oak but am not certain- it measures about 17 3/4 inches in length- about 11 1/2 inches tall on the backside and about 9 1/2 inches wide- it is pretty heavy and is sturdy as well
