Jeopardy ! contestant audition promo ink pens set of 2 Sealed 2004 Ken Jennings
On August 31. 2004, the Jeopardy! bus came to Lexington, Kentucky, to hold contestant auditions. I took the test and passed, getting nine out of ten questions correct. As a result, I got to go on to Round 2, held the following day. Those of us that passed the 10-question test were divided into two groups. I was in the second group, which was comprised of about 40-50 people. For Round 2, we took a 50-question test. We were not told our score, only whether we passed or did not pass. I was one of eight people who passed the test. Our names were put into the Jeopardy! contestant pool for one year, meaning that we MIGHT be picked to be a contestant on the show's upcoming season. The 2004-05 season was probably the most difficult one to be picked as a contestant as that was the year that started with the continuation of Ken Jennings' winning ... morestreak and also included the huge Tournament of Champions that lasted for several weeks. So there were simply a lot less slots for new contestants that season. Needless to say, I did not get picked. But I did get some promotional Jeopardy! ink pens on the day of the second test. I used a couple of them at the time, and they worked just fine. Then I decided to save the rest for the future. Recently, I opened a couple of them and discovered that they did not write. I assume that the ink has dried up. I have a couple of ink pens left that are still sealed and have decided to put them up for auction. This auction is for two(2) promotional Jeopardy! ink pens from 2004. They are both unopened in sealed cellophane wrappers. Since they are sealed. I cannot test to see if they will write.
