I've owned several of these.this is a good one.it's seen only light use.if you've been looking for one of these.this might be the one. Panasonic KP-310 AUTO-STOP Electric Pencil Sharpener Made by Panasonic. This pencil sharpener is made of a heavy black glossy plastic. It sports a silver oval design on the front that reads Panasonic Auto-Stop. The auto-stop is a patented design. It is fairly heavy and very sturdy. Measuring 5.6" x 5.8" x 4.4" There are three suction cups on the bottom: two up front and one centered in the back. The cord is 45 inches long. A length that has been adequate for my usage. There is a small 1 3/4" x 2 2/4" light smoky colored transparent plastic drawer in the front that holds the pencil shavings. I cleaned it this morning and just to see how much it held I dumped 1/3 cup of water ... moreinto it. And nearly filled it to the top. There is a small indentation to the left of the drawer that allows me to grasp it, and then it pulls out very easily. The transparency of it makes it easy to see when the drawer is full and needs emptying. The motor is sealed. You cannot see it or get to it, and the cutting blades are made of a steel alloy. The blade mechanism is still very sharp and sharpens pencils fast and with ease. Measures 8 inches long x 6-1/2" wide x 4" high; weighs exactly 3 lbs. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs and only some light surface scratches due to age and normal use.
