Vintage Rare Reed -Prentice Co. Manual
Collectible Rare Reed-Prentice Blue Print(dated 3/8/57) Manual/Loose Material, 5) 8" x 10" Black& White Photographs and a letter from the Director of Sales, it reads Dear Mr. Faerber: This is in reply to your letter of February 18, requesting a manual for the subject machine. Very few of this model machine were produced, and there were no manuals printed for this machine. However, there were a small quantity of brochures printed and I am enclosing a copy which we hope may be of help to you(the letter is dated February 24, 1970) A nice piece to add to your collection! Please use the pictures as part of the description. I'm no expert on this item. I rely on pictures to tell their story. The items are used with normal wear(as shown in pics) History: The company goes back to 1872 when it was A.F. Prentice& Co. F.E. Reed ... morebought the company in 1877. The same year A.F. Prentice joined two other brothers to form Prentice Bothers Co. F.E. Reed retired in 1912 and the two companies merged to form Reed-Prentice Co. In 1922, Reed-Prentice Co. bought out Becker Milling Machaine Co. and Whitcomb-Blais Dell Machine Tool Co. and continued to manufactured their lines at the factory in Worcester.
