antique 1860's-1870's new haven 30 hr key wound mantle clock. the clock is in working condition. I wound it and it kept time. the chime part of the clock also works. the face has some staining as is typical in clocks of this age. the case is in ok shape no big cracks. there are some checking spots and some of the finish has come off as seen in the pictures. it was rated as good by a local collector but I am not a expert so please look at the pictures and be your own judge. a nice old piece with a little work it would be a great addition to any collection.

Vintage Montgomery Ward School House Wall Clock 31 Day Key Wound Works Well
Montgomery Ward's 31 day wall clock. It works- has to be hanging exactly where it wants to be on the wall in order to work- most wall clocks seem to be a little touchy this way. Has key- when partially wound up it kept good time and struck(nice sound) on the hour and half hour. I don't know if it could run for 31 days though. It is 19 1/2" long- the pendulum is shiny brass though it is dark in pictures. This is a very nice working clock. Shipping is $22.00- if less I will refund the difference- if more I will pay it.

One short and one large dressing rubberized version which were used among the Luftwaffe paratroopers and pilots and flying personal as part of their survival gear(see the below pictures of how they were carried inside the cargo pocket of the flying trousers or lower jump smock pocket. For your pleasure today we have an extremely rare set of documents to a soldier wounded and evacuated during the siege of Festung(Fortress City) Breslau. The documents were awarded to Ogefr Alois Hoppe of the 14.pi.Regt. Breslau and consist of an award document for the Black Wound Badge. For a stomach wound received in Breslau on 22 Feb 1945(awarded in Dresden on 28 March 1945) the second document is an evacuation authorisation from the Festung Commander that Alois is wounded and must be flown out for treatment(a very rare document to survive and probably what saved his life) the third document is a pass from his regiment and the last is a discharge document completed by a R Swann Capt, RA, indicating that Alois was lucky enough to be captured and discharged by the western allies. This is a fantastically rare set of documents. They show wear, ... morebut contain important history. Almost nothing survives from the troops who garrisoned Fortress Breslau, let alone from a man awarded for his service there and medi-vaced out of the besieged city. The Battle of Breslau. Also known as the Siege of Breslau. Was a three month long siege of the city of Breslau in Lower Silesia, Germany(now Wrocław, Poland) lasting to the end of World War Two in Europe. From February 13, 1945 to May 6, 1945, German troops in Breslau were cut off and besieged by the Soviet forces which encircled the city as part of the Lower Silesian Offensive Operation. The German garrison's surrender on May 6 was followed by the surrender of all German Forces two days after the battle. The Siege of Breslau consisted of destructive house-to-house street fighting. The city was bombarded to ruin by artillery of the Soviet 6th Army. As well as the Soviet 2nd Air Army and the Soviet 18th Air Army. The Reichswehr between the wars, and the Wehrmacht, SS and the auxiliary service organizations during the Second World War. After March 1943, due to the increasing number of Allied bombings, it was also awarded to injured civilians. It was ultimately one of the most common of all Third Reich decorations, yet also one of the most highly prized, since it had to be"bought with blood" The badge had three versions: black(representing Iron) for those wounded once or twice by hostile action(including air raids) or frost-bitten in ... morethe line of duty; silver for being wounded three or four times, or suffering loss of a hand, foot or eye from hostile action(also partial loss of hearing) facial disfigurement or brain damage via hostile action; and in gold(which could be awarded posthumously) for five or more times wounded, total blindness, loss of manhood" or severe brain damage via hostile action.
