Vintage Antique Becton-Dickinson Syringe - 1940's
This is an Empire Becton Dickinson Co. Rutherford. N.J. nickel-plated brass irrigating syringe medical instrument, as can be seen by the trademark as pictured. It has a tubular barrel with screw cap topped with two circular finger rings. The nickel-plated brass plunger has thumb ring attached to a long shaft that slides through cap and into barrel and the plunger terminates in cup-shaped brass piston. The shaft has graduated markings and the tapered tip screws into the end of the barrel. The overall length with the plunger depressed fully is 8" and it is in g ood condition showing normal wear and tear for a 60-70 year old medical instrument.

When switched on the unit rotates smoothly and quietly while the functional suction cup feet hold the unit in place. Everything works perfectly on this 6 tube centrifuge. All pieces appear to be original to the unit. The main body is very clean with no paint chips. The inside is clean also. There are some very minor surface scratches on the domed top.
