The closure flap is missing and the other end is taped shut. It has some creases and shows signs of wear and tear. The Johnson& Johnson Band-Aid container is made of tin and measures 3.5 inches tall and has a width of 3 inches. It is 1.5 inches thick. There is a dent on the top of the container and a stain on the back. There is minimal scratching and rusting. It is in fair condition. The first roll of vintage adhesive tape consists of one partial roll of an unknown brand. It has some rust. Dents and scratches. Item: Early“B-D” Becton Dickinson Metal Medical Box Note: The company Becton Dickinson started in the end of the 19th Century. While trying to date this item. I have discovered what the company's logo looks like on paper labels. I have not found what exact logo they used on their metal products like this box though. My best educated estimate of the date of this item falls between 1910- 1935. That is based on its condition. Product type and general research into other Antique/Vintage"B-D" items I've seen online. Description: For sale is an Early Metal Case from Becton Dickinson Medical Supply Co. I have seen this same item before filled with the original contents which were needles. Syringes, etc. The“B-D” is the company’s logo which is embossed into the metal on this box both inside/outside. In fact. The“B-D” has been there ... morelogo for MANY years now. The box measures 9” x 3 ½” x 1 ¼” and securely held assorted medical supplies. Stainless steel is easy to sterilize and to this day at the doctors office you will see stainless steel instruments/boxes. It closes with a unique turning clasp that works perfectly. This box is VERY sturdy and constructed of some heavy duty stainless steel. I am sure my photos will best further describe this Early Medical Supply Box from Becton Dickinson. Condition: Mechanically. This box is fl awless. All moving parts(ie. hinges. Clasps) work and move problem free. The stainless steel is tarnished and some of its original shiny finish has faded away which is quite appropriate for its age of course. In regards to rust. Stainless steel is very rust resistant but it can rust. In my photos. Some spots may look like rust but in reality it is only were some of the finish has worn off and it appears"rusty" in color only. There are only a few miniscule actual rust spots. I learned the hard way not to scrub/polish antique and vintage items because many people prefer to keep that original patina and it can take away the some of the value as well. In short. Many

Antique DOCTORS BAG Travel Case MEDICINE & POISON Bottles/Vials BECTON DICKINSON
Up for bid is the antique DOCTOR'S BAG/TRAVEL CASE of Glass POISON& MEDICINE/CURE. Paper Label CORKED VIALS& Nickel-plated SCREW CAP BOTTLES by BECTON DICKINSON& CO. of Rutherford, N.J. from circa the late 19th or early 20th century(company created in 1897. As per wiki) As seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. Leather case is in need of repair at one side of the metal frame and is fragile throughout, yet overall, in very good shape. The leather used to wrap over the metal, securing the frame. Said leather is worn and rendered useless. Otherwise, the case is structurally solid. Footed with hard rubber at corners of each side and with metal feet at base. Sits flat with no wobble. Handle, hinges and latching mechanism are all strong& fully functional. No key. Lock may or may not work(most likely does) Escutcheon ... moreand base leather incised with maker's marks(see pics) Original removable. Double sided bottle/vial holder is excellent with nice& tight metal prongs. Same goes for the four bottle holding clasps affixed within the case. Fold down door conceals an big open storage area and closes with a snap button. Condition of bottles/vials varies slightly but all are VG++ or better, most being Near Mint. A few are missing from the set. The three large dose/samples are complete with original ground stoppers& screw caps and are"B.D. embossed at bases. Vials have smooth, dimpled" bases. Some corks are loose, most are nice& snug, all are fragile. Some paper labels are complete, most are partial, some mostly missing and some blank. Most are handwritten, many printed. Entire set has outstanding, rich patina and is nothing short on character! Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. C osmetic condition is as clearly& accurately shown in the high-definition pictures. Please inspect all of them carefully.
