FLAWS; 1) The plastic lift cover is dis-colored from age. The same lid fits a little funny. But seems to be functional. 2) The entire unit needs cleaning. Not so much"protein" filth. Offered is a Vintage HOBART MEAT TENDERIZER. Model#401. I recently purchased Two(2) Identical Hobart Tenderizers for Parts with the intention of combining the Best Parts to make One Solid Complete Machine. Which I have done. What you are viewing is the remaining Machine put together as best I could. This Tenderizer is ALMOST a Working Model. The Machine is Complete with the Exception of the Safety Cover which Flips over the Blade Assembly(on this Model some had Clear Plastic Safety Covers and some had Metal Covers which Matched the Case) The Small Safety Lever which Flips Down to Secure the Blade Assembly in Place(located on the Inside Wall of the Blade Assembly Compartment Right-Side-Facing- see pic#3) and the Safety Stud underneath the Toggle Switch. The Outer Aluminum Case is in Very Good++ Condition Inside and Out. One of the Three(3) ... moreFasteners which Connects the Outer Case to the Frame is Broken Off as pictured so only Two Fasteners secure the Case to the Frame(see pic#4) The Feet/Stands are Intact and Solid and in Good Shape with Obvious Wear. The Motor Runs Smooth, Strong and Quiet. The Gear Box and Two(2) Drive Sockets are in Very Good Condition and the Drive Sockets Turn Smoothly and Properly. The ON/OFF Toggle Switch Functions Properly. The Power Cord is in Solid Condition. I installed a New Toggle Switch and a Used Grounded Power Cord. The Blade Assembly for this Machine will Need Attention. The Two(2) Cylindrical Blade Assemblies(Front and Back) are in Very Good Condition and Mesh Together Properly. However, the Front Cylinder Assembly Does Not Rotate as smoothly/easily as it should although it Does Rotate(may need to be Cleaned, Lubricated, Adjusted, etc. There is also a Crack in the Frame of that same Front Cylinder Assembly as pictured(pic#8) The Separators(2) Front and Back are Included, however the Back Separator(each is marked F or B) is Missing Several Teeth and One of the Hanger Studs has Been Repaired(see pic) and that Separator may need to be Replaced.
